Today I had an appointment with Dr. Shirley, and I had an excellent experience from beginning to end. Even before scheduling my visit through my insurance coverage, the staff was incredibly helpful and professional. They were the only office that truly took the time to answer all of my questions over the phone. As a foreigner, this was my first time seeing a doctor in the United States, so I was very nervous and unfamiliar with the process. From the very beginning, the team helped clarify everything regarding my insurance and guided me through every concern with kindness and patience. Dr. Shirley was exceptionally compassionate and attentive. I was especially anxious because of my history of elevated intraocular pressure, but she made sure to thoroughly evaluate me and rule out glaucoma. Thanks to her professionalism and reassurance, I now feel calm and relieved. I will definitely recommend Dr. Shirley to all of my friends and acquaintances. Overall, the service was outstanding, professional, and truly human-centered.

Dr. Mathew is wonderful. But I will not be returning. I've been working with the office to schedule a much needed cataract surgery since December 2025. The issue was my insurance changed on Jan. 1st. This office could not schedule my surgery because they say there is a problem with the insurance....that the old one wasn't anceled and they were afraid they wouldn't get paid. I did my part to make sure the old one was canceled. Office staff kept saying it's not changed in the system therefore could not schedule surgery. (Which was scheduled twice and both times canceled) I have been to my PCP, my Pain Doctor and picked up prescriptions with my new insurance....no problems. I believe whoever is dealing with the insurance in Dr. has no clue what is going on!!! They have wasted 2 months of my time and mich stress. I am completely blind in my left eye. So this was truly unacceptable. Of course I found another surgeon.

Dr. Matthews is one of the best ophthalmologist in the city. Both my parents and I have gone to her for years. She is super skilled, professional, and very courteous with her patients. I don’t understand how anyone could provide a poor review, but it looks like it’s mostly anr administrative issues. Trust me, she is a top-notch, ophthalmologist and surgeon.

Dr. Mathew is the very best. Always treated me and my Wife like family. Once in a lifetime Dr. . Exceptional, Compassionate, Expert, Passionate, Kind, Dedicated, Pioneer, Outstanding, Excellent are just some words to describe her and her fine practice. She has always gone above and beyond for my Wife and me. I will forever-eternally be grateful to her and her team. You can feel comfortable trusting her with all your health-care needs, it is without hesitation that I highly recommend Dr. Mathew for any and all your care! I am very grateful for her many years of outstanding-service and exquisite bedside manner, it is a pleasure to both know her and a privilege to receive her 'WORLD-CLASS' care!

we visited Dr. Shirley Matthew before few days she has done eye exam and recommend surgery, but she didn't explain everything in detail and when we call for help with receptionist over there, she is not informing. Clearly. She is being rude and not giving proper information for she told we will receive a call for an estimate. We need to wait 48 hours. We didn't receive a call. We wasted almost 1 or two weeks waiting to get proper information. I won't recommend to anyone who is looking for a good customer, service and proper explanation.
