My first visit to SightMD was wonderful. After that, everything was downhill! I saw Dr. Amallah. I had to get cataract surgery because I had the beginning of a cataract and it was making too much pressure in my eye. He gave me one of two options, one to laser it, and then I would most likely see a white light for the rest of my life the second, to laser the cataract which I chose to do because it would solve both of the problems. I have a prosthesis in my other eye, so it was very important to me and very concerning to have my eye that I have vision in taken care of correctly. Almost 4 months after the surgery, my vision is still terrible. I see blurry up close and up to 2 feet away . I vent to the office to explain my problems. Dr. Amallah was quite taken back. I was very upset and I got emotional. With that he said to me “yes I know you have one eye.” I said my vision was fine before this. He responded with. “Oh yeah I do 4500 surgeries a month just for the hell of it.” The rest of the visit he would not look me in the face. In my opinion, he is a coward. More so my opinion is that he is not a good surgeon or whatever he is categorized as. He should really stick to his dancing. If his surgery was as smooth as his walk into the patient room it would be wonderful. My advice to anybody looking for eye surgery…do not go to this doctor!! He’s arrogant and very rude. As I sit here typing this review, hardly being able to see, I regret ever going here. Karma will take care of things.
