Ski Run Optometry

Dr. London and her staff are amazing. We had an emergency situation where there was a foreign object in my husband’s eye and they said we could come in right away and we only waited a short time before she saw us and examined his eye. She was able to remove the thing that was causing him debilitating pain and prescribed medication that we picked up at our local pharmacy right away to reduce the inflammation that the object caused. Her staff were friendly, patient, and communicative. They called us right back both times we had questions and were very clear on cost and expectations. Dr. London is a dedicated practitioner - caring, down to earth, and professional. If you’re looking for an optometrist, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

Had an emergency eye issue while visiting Lake Tahoe. Ski Run Optometry worked me in to the schedule (thank you!). The office staff was polite and very efficient. Dr. London was fantastic. Explained what was happening with my eye in a very understandable way. I found her to be both technically skilled and very personable. If I lived here I'd make her my optometrist in a heartbeat. We were in Tahoe for a few days, and I forgot my eye glass case. I thought my glasses would be fine wrapped in the bottom of my purse. Upon putting them on later in the day I found they were totally bent. After a frantic search I found Ski Run Optometry, right around the corner from our hotel. The staff were so nice and readjusted my glasses for free. Thank you for saving my vacation!

Went to Dr London for a follow-up to an emergency room visit for a metal fragment in my eye. She saw me immediately after leaving the ER without an appointment which said it all for her dedication and professionalism. I was relieved to find out that the majority of the fragment was out except for some rust that was a collateral issue. She inspected my eye and gave me eye drops and An appointment a week later to allow the rust to fester out for an easier and less invasive procedure later. I was very pleased with everything she and her staff did and would recommend her to others.

I’m 35 years old and have worn contacts most of my adult life. This was the FIRST time an optometrist suggested that since my prescription wasn’t that different for each eye, we could meet in the middle and do a -5.0 in both eyes. This has changed EVERYTHING, no more accidentally putting the wrong one in the wrong eye etc. Not only that, but this is the first time I was not pressured into a specific brand of contacts that I never got the chance to try to see if I liked. I highly recommend going here. I’m writing this review 3 months after having been there, because I’m so thankful!
