The doctor there is credible. She not only gets my prescription perfect. And i've only been there twice.I will always keep going there as long as she's there. The staff is very friendly. It's really no matter how I can't say anything better than I had a great experience. My wife had a great experience. And thank you for being where you are.And who you are. We have been to other eyeglass places that I will not mention, they were not only rude. The prescriptions were never right. The cost was ridiculous.Customer service was bad and we will never go anywhere else. But this place

I was seen at Southwestern Eye Center on Gilbert in October 2025. Received such a wrong prescription I was physically ill. Went back in November 2025 and they gaslit me around every corner telling me I just had to get used to the new prescription which was the “same” as the one I went in with before my initial visit in October. Well it was never right. Endless headaches and feeling underwater left me super frustrated. 2/17/26 I got a second opinion at LensCrafters. Now they’re telling me that the warranty covers 90 days from purchase not from when you have the prescription to actually try so they want to charge me full price for adjusting their now third mistake which I can only attribute to their lab. My husband has called everyday for over a week and cannot get a call back. Somehow my contacts, which are the same prescription, don’t bother me. However, my glasses lenses are completely unwearable. I rely on lenses daily and have zero ability to function without them. Every time I go in they’re rude and unwilling to listen to genuine concerns telling me there’s an adjustment period and to hang in there. I wish I never used them and would never recommend the practice to anyone. Everyone who works there seems to hate their life and it shows through their “customer service.”
It’s nice to have good care, the front office is very helpful and the Dr was very informative she’s definitely in the right field. Didn’t care for the kiosk and the waiting was really small otherwise I would definitely recommend South Western Eye to family and friends.
I’ve been coming to southwestern eye center for 20 years since it was owned by Dr. BlutheI have never been treated rude before. Today was an awful experience for me the front desk attended had an attitude and was extremely unhelpful I felt confused upset and wondering why I was spending my money here. I don’t think I will be back to this location if that’s how the front treats its guest.
Southwestern Eye Center is a bureaucratic assembly line that prioritizes legal shielding and "process" over basic clinical accuracy. Despite a multi-tiered gauntlet of redundant paperwork, digital check-ins, and "take-a-number" ticketing, the system failed at its only job: providing an accurate prescription. Lens physics haven't changed in a century, but SEC has managed to bury them under layers of disengaged staff and passive-aggressive administration. After jumping through their hoops, I was still handed an incomplete prescription. It’s my fault for not double checking their “professionalism”, then and there. When I called to rectify the error a few days later, I was met with more administrative incompetence, and additional bureaucratic hurdles, registrations, portals and contrivances. Note: The Dr., herself, was nice. If you value your time, vision, and tranquility, go elsewhere. This is a "crank ‘em through" business where patient care is a distant second to liability protection. To my fellow veterans: wait for the VA optometrist. It’s faster, more pragmatic, and a standard process. BUT… I’m the unreasonable “difficult” one for expecting accountability.
