Terrible experience. Ordered a new pair of Rx sunglasses and told 1-2 weeks after paying up front like they requested. They never called me so I stopped in and was told they had to send them back. They had also ordered me replacement lenses for my regular glasses which they had but failed to call me and inform they were there. Told once again they would call me when the sunglasses came in. Still no call so I call them and was told they had to send them back again. This all started on 4-27-26 and as of June 4,2026 still no call. I called and was told they sent them back for the 4th time. I questioned the lack of communication and was told by staff "they dropped the ball". At this point I just wanted a refund and told them I'd go somewhere eIse. I try to keep my business local and support local business but with this experience I will never go there again.

We love Specs in the City! They're kind, courteous, professional, and give you all the time you need. Plus, they have a great selection of glasses. We're very satisfied with them.

We were visiting family in Spring City and more than 12 hrs from home. The frame on my daughter's glasses broke. Fortunately we had a spare pair of sunglasses that used the same style frame. I took the glasses to Specs in the City and within two minutes the lenses were swapped out and cleaned free of charge.

Initially I was very impressed by the staff and service at Specs in the City. They got me in quickly and really worked with my needs. Then I got my glasses and I couldn’t wear them. For twenty minutes I tried, this was at 3pm on a Friday. The pain in my eye and the tremendous headache I felt from trying to wear them lasted until Sunday. I’ve never had this happen when trying to get glasses so I felt there must be something wrong and left the glasses with them. When I tried to talk to the owner about this problem she said, “this is your prescription, these glasses were made for you, we can have the doctor dilate your eyes but if you can’t handle having these glasses on you are really not going to like it and I don’t know what else you want me to do.” I’m out close to $300, have glasses I can’t wear without intense pain and was treated like the whole situation is my problem, not theirs. Worst part, I don’t know what’s wrong or why I did react this way to these glasses. One thing I can tell you, no one at Specs in the City cares.
