The "Free Exam" is a Billing Trap: I went in for their advertised promotion: two pairs of glasses and a "free" eye exam for $79. This is a total scam. When you look at the actual receipt, they bill you for the eye exam instead of the glasses. Because Stanton Optical’s official policy states that eye exam services are non-refundable, they use this loophole to refuse your money back if you try to return the glasses. You are trapped out of your $79.No Real Doctor & Suspected AI: You do not get to see an actual doctor here. A technician takes you through a series of automated tests and claims a doctor reviews them remotely. However, my prescription came in almost instantly after the exam. I highly suspect the "doctor" reviewing it is actually an AI program, not a human medical professional. Unwearable Glasses & Physical Pain: Because of this rushed, automated process, they gave me a terrible, over-prescribed prescription with unnecessary add-ons. After wearing these glasses for just two hours, my vision was completely blurry, and I developed a severe headache and eye strain.They made my vision worse, and I am out $79 with absolutely no recourse. Save your money and go to a real optometrist who actually cares about your eye health.
