Stanton Optical

This is my first time trying out Stanton optical. I came to this location as it is convenient for it. Got there at 1125. It is located in a shopping center, so there is a lot of parking. I walked in and was greeted by DJ. I informed him I had an eye exam and he said to go to the left side and wait. My appointment was for 1130 but I wasn't helped until around 1150. The woman seemed a bit uncertain while doing my exam. During that exam and after it, the woman asked for my glasses a couple of times. While I was waiting, I asked her if she could clean them as they got dirty from her getting them a few times. And she said they could do it at the counter. I thought she would clean them since she's the one that got them dirty but oh well. I get up look at all the glasses, then as the person working at the counter how much longer for the eye exam results. He said that was just my pre exam. He then left and went to the optometrist and said it would be a bit longer. After another 15 minutes I was finally passed into the eye exam. After that, I looked at the all glasses again and then was held by DJ. From the time that I walked in to getting my eye exam results it was at 1250. I'm not sure why I made an appointment if they just treated me as a walk-in. I decided to just pay the co-pay for my eye exam and decided to get my glasses somewhere else.

I came here for my first pair of contact lenses. The overall service was great. Although the technician who did my eye exam didn’t give me all the information I needed while wearing lenses, instead they told me to look it up on YouTube, which I can understand since it was closing time. The staff member who assisted me later, Dejoun, did a really great job and was very friendly though. He explained all the options and suggested the most affordable contacts for my prescription. I even came back the next day with my sibling for her contact lenses too.

I LOVED my experience here. My friend recommended them after she got great service and the cutest hot pink metal frames. I came in looking for glasses and contacts. They had an assortment of frames to choose from. It was cheaper to buy two frames and contacts here than buying only my contacts alone online. They also give you 30 days to feel out if your glasses/contacts work for you or not. My first prescription didn’t work for me and it took a while for my brain to get used to it, but even after 3 weeks, they checked out my eyes again and made sure there was nothing weird going on. I left super happy with a new prescription and even a different frame choice. Oliver was phenomenal! Not only does he have amazing taste and he’s great at his job, hes so funny! Im super grateful with how i was helped with picking out frames that go with my face and my vibe. They helped me pick out my style! This is officially my goto for anything eyewear related.

My mom had her eye exam with staff member Oliver. During the appointment, he was not only unprofessional, but he also acted in a rude and racially insensitive manner toward us. The other staff are fine, they are very nice. We have been waiting for her glasses since the exam. However, the prescription we received was much stronger than expected, and it does not match what she needs. She is not able to wear them.

Store manager Chris was not only under educated in Stantons policy's but by far the most unhelpful Stanton representative I have ever dealt with. I went in for replacement lenses and he tried to charge me 300$ more than I paid originally. $560 just for lenses. I initially paid $360 for lenses with frames. When I asked why all he said was "he doesnt know" and sent me home empty handed. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. STAY AWAY.
