It’s been a whole year since going here. I think it’s worth making clear two things: 1) this place is not very kind to children. 2) my glasses are so strong that I had to go back to using my old glasses. I’m not quick to write a less-than-great review as I prefer to sit with it. After trying to get used to the new glasses for a year, they are just not correct. Besides the pricy mistake they made with my eyes, it was how they treated my 9 year old that surprised me more. She’s a quiet sweet kid that was so excited to get glasses so she could match the rest of her family, and this experience burst her bubble. The doctor told me she had kids so I thought she would be smiling and kind toward mine, but she was cold upon arrival. I was told I could only come into the room if I was silent so I sheepishly agreed. When my daughter was nervous of the air puff going into her eye at the very end of the session, I tried to reassure her it was going to be easy, but I was scolded very sternly for talking. It was a really strange environment and it scared my daughter. The only word I can use to describe her interaction with children is unnecessarily stern. I tried to keep smiling and using my sing song voice to keep things cheerful, but nothing could bring out any warmth. I left two stars rather than one because I cant bring myself to leave anyone just one star.
