I saw Dr. Rodgin in September when my optometrist was on vacation. Wonderful experience with full descriptions about my condition shared with me. Clear explanations of everything which helped me understand my eye health much more. Very caring and professional. Thank you!

Professional and thorough. Dr. Rodgin made me feel comfortable and at ease. Best of all: I can see better with my new glasses.

I had no choice but to go to Dr Rodgin after Dr Sol left. Dr Sol was always professional, on time, kind and he listened. My experience of Dr Rodgin was time consuming (she was doing acupuncture or something on some one else in another room during my appt) but she had me there for over an hour both times I went to get a simple renewal of my contact lens prescription. I didn't ask to have my prescription changed. I was happy with what I had. She had me try many different strengths as she was running in and out of another room, so she appeared confused. It was my first time seeing her so it did nothing to make me feel I could trust her. I tried so many different lenses that I was also utterly confused. She insisted on "correcting my astigmatism" - apparently this means a different lens strength in each eye. I told her several times I suffer from migraines and messing with the strength of the lenses might cause migraines and could I have samples of these new lenses to make sure they are ok for me. She said NO. No sample. Then the prescription did not indicate which lens was for the right eye and which was for the left eye so I had no idea which lens went into which eye. They are 2 different strenghts and that should have been indicated on the prescription. Again that did not build trust with this provider to leave out such an important detail on the prescription. I was travelling when I went to fill them. So I stopped in at a Walmart vision center to order the lenses and asked them if they could give me a sample first. They were surprized she didn't give me samples so I could even see if these will work for me given I had never had contacts to correct astigmatism before. They ordered me samples happily, then informed me just how expensive these lenses were and offered that there is the same exact lens in a generic brand that is half the cost, but I'd have to call for a new prescription for that brand. Well of course Dr Rodgin was difficult and refused. So I found myself a new eye doctor and guess what? They charged me $75.00 for a contact lens prescription, her office has been charged me $200.00 for years!! The new eye doc also agreed I should have been given samples to try them first given it was something my eyes had no experience with. I like my new eye doc, they are kind, patient and they listened to my concerns. No so much with her.
