Templeton Eye Care

Tried making an appointment for my son, the staff was EXTREMELY RUDE! Will be making an appointment elsewhere and I will also be reporting them.

Both templetons are amazing and professional, one is a little rough around the edges but is an expert in his field. i have worn glasses for over 24 years and this is the absolute best place i have been to over my years as a traveling construction worker

I am SO GLAD that I found this eye doctor and his team!! They took amazing care of me. Dr. Templeton is a very attentive caregiver who is paying close attention to detail. He resolved the issues other doctors missed and provided me with real solutions. Dr. Templeton addressed every single concern I brought to him and pointed out issues that I was unaware of altogether. The care plan he helped me put together, along with the BETTER than 20/20 prescription he worked so hard to fit me with, have brought me so much relief. I am a high needs patient. He and his entire team were more than happy to accommodate those needs. They took their time and were exceedingly patient with me through the entire process. Mr. Mark was so kind and helped me find frames that complement my face perfectly. He is well versed in both market trends and styles AND how to properly complement your face structure and proportions. I'm very thankful for the support this office gave to me. They are a hidden gem in El Dorado.

I had an eye exam done a while back, and I can tell you that the place is ran by brothers. Tall brother is extremely nice, he does the pre exam, orders the glasses and repairs them. The actual eye doctor is a completely different story. Rude, disrespectful, snaps at you, tells you what you want and when explaining to the doctor during the exam if it's clear or not, he tells you that you're wrong. Since I was paying cash, the Dr tried forcing me to get bifocals, naturally because he thought he'd squeeze more money out of me. I've since had another eye doctor give me an exam, guess what, I don't require bifocals. My current eye Dr also said that if I got the bifocals, it would have weakened my eyes faster. I know Templeton is gonna be hit or miss with certain people. In my honest opinion from personal experience, find a better eye doctor or you could ruin your sight 😒

Called about making me and my grandpa an appointment and the man was just extremely rude and pushy. I wanted to make sure what each of our insurance plans paid for because he said I was wrong. I said I would make sure and call back Monday about appointments. He said “well I’ve already told you what you have so we can make the appointments now. Why do you need to wait?” I was about to just hang up. But anyways. He’s just super rude. I would never go here just because of the phone inquiry.
