Great glasses selection! TERRIBLE service. Was told my frames would be done 4 days after purchasing which seemed like a decent turnaround. 2 and a half weeks later I’m still without glasses and being given every excuse in the book about why my glasses aren’t ready from shipping issues to them having “no one to cut my frames available” It’s hard not to get frustrated when your vision relies on the timeline of something out of your control. If you don’t have anyone available to cut frames or actually get orders ready. Don’t open your doors to the public.

I’ve been a loyal customer of The Eye Gallery Honolulu, purchasing 4 pairs of Ditas, 1 Cartier, and having another Cartier frame lensed there in a short period of time. I really appreciated the staff and the convenience — they always took care of me whenever I came in, and I often purchased 2 frames a year. My last Dita order took about 5 weeks, but I was patient and understanding. However, my most recent experience was very disappointing. The screws on my Cartier Clash frame came loose within a month, so I brought it in for repair. They ordered the screws on September 15th, but before they arrived, the store permanently closed. When I followed up, I was simply told that the screws hadn’t come in and that I’d need to get them elsewhere. It’s unfortunate to be treated this way after years of loyalty. If you’re looking for reliable service and accountability, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Thankful....recently vacationed in the Sandestin area, my Prescription Maui Jim sunglasses needed to be tightened. So, I called around to different Maui Jim Eyewear retail stores and spoke with Bill Amos with The Eye Gallery on Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach. He was very friendly and helpful. Bill said bring them in and he would take a look and them to see if he could help. I took them in the next day. He quickly tightened the glasses and sent me on my way. Thank you, Bill, for helping me out!

If you enjoy playing scheduling roulette, this is the optometrist for you! My husband was rescheduled twice, each time just hours before his appointment — because who doesn’t love a good surprise cancellation? When he finally showed up for his third attempt, the office was completely closed. No call, no text, no email — just a lonely FedEx “delivery attempt” sticky note on the door from earlier in the day. It’s been two days, and still no one has called to explain or reschedule. At this point, I’m not sure if they’re an eye clinic or an illusion, but either way — they’re impossible to see. 👀 Unreliable, unprofessional, and clearly out of sight in more ways than one.

Stopped in this morning to have several pair of glasses reshaped. The staff was very warm and welcoming and did not hesitate at all that I had not purchased these glasses from them. Love that they are now at Grand Boulevard and will definitely be back for all my eye care needs.
