As a social worker who works with countless providers and patients of my own throughout the day; I can understand the heavy caseload that comes with working with healthcare. With that being said, I have also coined a list of providers which I consider DNR's: Do Not Return. These are the providers who I have found to be either dismissive with patient concerns, arrogant and callous, or providers who dislike being questioned. And after an appointment today with Dr. Heather McGee, I can honestly say that she will be added to my DNR list. I have dealt with some unsavory providers, but I have never dealt with one who is so frustratingly quick to respond. I have never felt so invalidated and uninvolved in my own care as I did with this provider. She's the type of provider who has a very small view of the world and has a general mold for her patients and their issues to fit in: shallow. While she may be a good fit for some, she is not for me. And to Dr. McGee, I would advise you to perhaps, have the confidence to allow your patients to express their concerns and allow collaborative care instead of blurting out answers like an arrogant debutante.

We go to our primary care, cardiologist, conveinant care & other doctors at the Jackson Clinic. And they are all wonderful & the nurses are great. But the people that check you in for the labs are the worst I have ever seen. They are so unfriendly & they never make eye contact, never acknowledge that you are even there.

My husband and I go to the Jackson Clinic North when needed. Our Dr. Is great, the nurses and everyone we've ever met are very kind and helpful.

Was told had to pay at check-in for a pcp visit until insurance reimbursed. Insurance later processed the claim at 100% with zero patient responsibility and issued payment more than 6 weeks ago. After several weeks and multiple follow-ups, I am still being told the payment is “pending” with no timeline for refund of my prepayment. Very frustrating billing experience!

I was provided suggestions by my insurance co. that Jackson Clinic accepts my child's insurance. I called and spoke to BRITTNEY to schedule an appointment as a new patient for my child to see Dr. Payne. I told her we had coverkids. She asked is that TN care and I said yes and she stated they do not accept the insurance. I actually made a mistake and said the wrong coverage, and I quickly corrected myself and told BRITTNEY we had United Healthcare. She asked is that TN care. I asked is there a difference, the insurance recommended us to the clinic and told me we were in network with them, but BRITTNEY said they do not even accept United Healthcare. I told her my insurance said we were in network and BRITTNEY said well they need to update their website because we don't accept it in a nice nasty tone. I politely tried to thank her because I understand the healthcare field can be frustrating, but I couldn't even finish the thanks before she rudely hung up because apparently, she was impatient and frustrated with my questions and my confusion. Ironically, when she hung up, I went to Jackson Clinic's website and surprisingly saw United Healthcare listed as insurance the clinic accepts. Thanks to BRITTNEY we are no longer interested in becoming new patients at the Jackson Clinic due to the lack of professionalism. Now days people are only going into the medical field to stroke their ego. The title/ acronym behind their name means more than providing high quality care for the community because the compassion is definitely unaccounted for from that conversation.
