We've been here once and initially were made to reschedule after getting delayed at the school while checking my child out for the appointment. I called to let them know how slowly things in the school office were moving but that we were just right across the street. The person I spoke with pretty rude about it and proceeded to reschedule the appointment, which of course would require me to leave work early and to check my child out early again. What's more, about a week after the appointment, I'd be picking my child up early again once the glasses arrive so they could then fit them. Fine I guess I get it, but it would be nice if appointments were offered maybe up until 5 or 530 pm, at least a couple times per week or even possibly an occasional Saturday. I was able to reschedule the appointment for a time when the kids were out of school and neither of the ladies who greeted us seemed to be the one who was rude from before. Our appointment was scheduled for the time right when they reopen after lunch. Not only were we stuck waiting outside for the doors to be unlocked for about 10 to 15 mins after the time our appointment should have started but we waited another 10 to 15 mins standing in line to check in and then to be seen. From this, I hardly think that it just wasn't possible for them to see my child for that very 1st appointment when we were stuck at the school. Maybe if the person on the phone hadn't been so rude about us needing an extra 10 mins, I would've been less irritated about the time we were kept waiting. What's most unfortunate is that the glasses we purchased were the 1st pair my child has ever had that just fell apart, and she's worn glasses since 18 months old. Most of the frames we looked at felt cheap and sort of flimsy. The selection they offered were also expensive compared to the many other places we've shopped for glasses over the past 12 years. Even with her lenses in them, the frames were lighter, thinner and more flexible than her older ones and that's not always a good thing lol. My child also started complaining about pain behind her ears and about them constantly sliding down. We bought little rubber things for them but they didn't help enough for whatever was going on with this pair. Thankfully we still had a pair of her old ones after these fell apart. I'm actually considering taking a couple of her old frames and paying to just have them make new lenses. I'm also not exactly feeling that the people measuring and fitting the glasses here are the best at doing so since they definitely were not as thorough as any of the other places we've gone. So we're about to have our 2nd appointment and I guess we'll have to wait and see. At least we'll have a new prescription from this appointment in case we decide to shop for glasses elsewhere. IMO, Sam's has always had the best prices, deals, quality, selection (at least for kids) and associates when it comes to their eye center. They don't take our insurance for the exam however. Anyway, hopefully someone finds this helpful. Driving a little further may actually be something to consider.

The last glasses I got were worse than the old ones I had. The lens kept popping out and I took it back and it kept doing it. I decided to wear my old glasses. Then I made my next appointment but the day of, I ended up across the street in the emergency room and come too find out, I had another cancer. But I called and told whoever answered the phone at the vision center that I was in the emergency room and she asked if I wanted to reschedule and I told her I would call back after I was out of the emergency room. When I did call back I was given an appointment almost 3 months later but that was OK. When I went to the appointment there were two ladies at the reception desk that were so rude. Neither would even look up from what they were doing until one finally told me I owed 25.00 and I asked for what and I was told because I was a no show. I don't have extra money for that. I told the ladies that I did call from the emergency room but then again, neither would look at me. I stood there and after seeing that I was going to be ignored again, I walked out. Then I get a bill in the mail for the 25.00 no show appointment. First off, when I first started going there I was really happy because there was a Doctor there that I enjoyed but then he left I guess. Now I have to find another eye doctor and there aren't anymore in Wiggins, so that just makes it harder on me. But I'm not paying a 25.00 no show bill. Just awful treatment.

I Like Dr . Loose , however his office workers not as much. When I call with questions each girl will give me a different answer . Some questions have been about insurance , and prices which I feel is important . One girl even told me they didn’t take my insurance at all , which is not true . Glasses selection is decent .

Would rate zero stars if I could. This place needs to do better.I promise you will find better service elsewhere. Walmart treated me more professionally and better than this place. It’s very unfortunate I have to drive 30+ minutes away just to receive good service and eye care without having to pay extra just for their mistake.
