Terrible experience. I went to Total Eye Care for an annual, my eyesight has been deteriorating, I wanted to know which glasses I need - I usually order glasses myself. When I asked Dr. Stein during the visit about it - he said, you will get the visit documentation at the end of the visit, no details. At checkout they told me I have to pay for a prescription (I paid my copay, of course). This is the first time in my long live a doctor charged for a prescription. I said, I don't need a prescription, just wanted a visit summary, or any documentation about this visit. The office receptionist was super rude, just said, no, you have to pay or you are not going to get anything. My annual exam per my insurance is free after a copay - which I paid. I looked up my billing later on - they charged my insurance for interpretation of results - which I never received, for pictures they took separately, which I've never seen and/or discussed. I got out of this visit with literally nothing in my hands, complete waste of time. A couple of weeks later they sent me a bill for the same amount they charge for prescription - even though I didn't get it. I am planning to contact Attorney General of NJ with evidence at hand. Recommend everyone who had a similar experience to do the same.
