I have been going here for a while, I've had mostly negative experiences. They are inflexible with providing for my vision needs and appointments, and have frequently made mistakes when it comes to billing. I also needed copies of my medical records for a referral for a serious health condition, they provided the wrong information and I was told the correct information could not be provided timely because the providers were gone, even though this was their mistake. This delayed my ability to get treatment.

I had an exam there and they didn't tell me that I would have a deductible on my contact exam/measurements. Extremely shady to not alert me there would be a charge. I had the same insurance and exam done at Reimer Eye Center in Cadillac last year and they didn't charge me for glasses/contact exam. Make sure you ask what your potential charges are going to be because they won't alert you.
It was my first time going here. The staff was really friendly. Dr. Kowalski answered all my questions in detail. He was also kind and professional.
Wonderful service! I recently had to switch eye doctors due to my new health insurance and was able to get in to see a specialist within a week here at Traverse Vision. The staff was very attentive and there was no long wait to see the doctor. Dr. Faupel was amazing and very personable. She was very considerate of the contact brand I had been using for years and even had a pair in stock with my new prescription to try on and take home. Thank you for the quick, easy, and personable service. Highly recommend.
Called and was told they accepted my insurance. After my eye exam they find out my insurance is not accepted. She said it was “taking to long” so they sent me in and charged me before finding out if my insurance was accepted. So I get stuck paying $120 for an eye exam that I could have gotten at wallmart for $75. My fault for thinking everything would be fine and not demanding they run my insurance BEFORE the exam.
