I had a disappointing experience at this location. I initially chose this place because it is close to my job, but the service I received was not professional. I called ahead to confirm that my insurance was in-network, and my insurance company verified that it was. However, when I arrived, staff told me they do not accept my insurance. This inconsistency was frustrating and confusing. Additionally, while not all staff were unprofessional, one staff member in particular (who I spoke with on the phone the day before) behaved inappropriately. Instead of speaking to me privately, she made comments out loud about my contact lenses being “the cheapest,” which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Overall, due to the lack of clear information and professionalism, I would not recommend this location.

I just went in today to ask a question, and the receptionist looked at me as if I were begging for handouts—she was completely sour-faced and incredibly rude. I’d rather go somewhere else.
If I could give a NEGATIVE review.......starting at LESS than zero.....-5 is suitable......I definately would. Rude, unprofessional behavior from the top down: Started at the 26th Street location: 1. The lady at the front desk was rude and aggressive. Had a stink face and "told" me to have a seat. I moved to the side so she could help other patients. She again tried to "order" me to sit down and tried to waive me off and said she had another patient. I was already off to the side so there was no need for her to even address me again at that point. 2. I asked to speak with the Mgr/Sup. and was directed to a tall gentleman who they say is the owner. I hope not. Tall gentleman who looks Caucasian but has a slight accent. After I expressed my concern, he got defensive and told me "don't come in here with that". I'm not joking. I walked out immediately, I'm not going to be spoken to like that. Especially since I did not go in there with aggressive energy. Wound up at the Cicero location: 1. Took the brand new glasses in, on which $500+ was spent, and ordered new side arms. Explained the treatment I received at the other location and was told "yeah, he can be like that". Really? Oh wow. 2. Once the parts came in, the staff there replaced the side arms. They had to use new screws...I don't know why they couldn't use the old ones that fit fine. But okay. One screw fit fine the other was too long and left a small piece of metal hanging/exposed at the temple. So if I raised the glasses over my head, it snags my hair. 😐 Now mind you, upon leaving, the lady said nothing about one screw being longer than the other. She let me leave the store, knowing full well how that was and that was not right. I guess she thought I wouldn't notice. 😆 I returned again for the correct sized screws and to have the arms fit over my ears properly....they were never adjusted to fit over my ears when I picked them up, they needed to be fitted/adjusted. I won't waste more time describing my latest experience, I think you guys can guess how THAT went.🙄 Essentially, the young girl there tried to gaslight me about the screws and having the arms adjusted over my ears. I've been wearing glasses over 40 years and I've never had different sized screws and arms that can't be/weren't adjusted with push back and back/forth. Jeez. 🥴 I walked out and I'll have these adjustments done at a place near my house that has always been pleasant and accommodating. So people, please believe the reviews you see and make sure to check the other reviews of the other locations. Same vibe. I don't usually leave bad reviews, don't have the time. But this......was.....just.😐
Very friendly and helpful staff operating safely within the state health guidelines. I had to wait a month from making my appointment to being seen, because they are pretty much booked solid. However, when I was seen, service was prompt and professional; the doctor got through the eye test quickly, everything was sanitized, and I was able to pick out a nice pair of glasses. All in all a pleasure to work with them!
I’ve been here and the staff can be more friendly the main girl at the counter when you first walk is always rude. They never really have sales like the other locations and I wanted a prescription for restasis and they told me I had to come in so they can charge my Medicaid insurance again ?? Because it might need a pa.
