I had surgery for a macular hole on Wed, July 22. I had a follow up appt the next day, July 23, at Kittner Eye at 8:20 in the morning. The pressure was high so (3) addition prescriptions were added. It's 4pm on Frid, July 24 and I still do not have the additional meds for pressure and an antibiotic ointment prescribed originally. I'm not sure there's any point in starting them at this late date. The triage does not answer the phone. I heard back Friday morning from triage and they said the prescriptions were sent to Publix. Publix said they had not received. Since Publix did not carry the ointment prescribed post surgery, it was agreed to send all remaining prescriptions to Walgreens. I got another call from triage and they said the prescriptions for the pressure had been sent to Walgreens and the ointment to Publix for some reason. The person on the phone said this would be corrected. As stated earlier, it is 4pm on Friday and Walgreens closes at 7. Neither Publix nor Walgreens have received prescription requests so it is obviously a problem with UNC Kittner. Extremely disappointed. Unbelievable the running around and writing of this trying to find a solution with only 1 good eye.

I have been very pleased with the care I received here. I had ptosis surgery at UNC hospital and then had a second procedure in the office afterwards. The receptionist is not overly friendly but she wasn't rude. The nurse that did pre-op was very pleasant and nice. D. Clark has always been very professional and answered my questions. I had a great experience.
My right eye suddenly lost vision in February this year, and I was treated by Dr. KEIRNAN WILLETT 's team. By May, my right eye still hadn't fully recovered, and then my left eye suddenly went blind as well. They initially scheduled an appointment for June 12th, but when I arrived at the clinic, they told me I wouldn't see a doctor until June 15th. I had to reschedule again, this time for July 28th. Now, on July 7th, I was informed that the doctor is going on vacation, so my appointment has been postponed to September 18th. I'm wondering—can someone with one eye not seeing properly really wait six months? If you think that's acceptable, then come to this hospital and see Dr. KEIRNAN WILLETT !
They tried to delete the listing for this place and make a new one. That wont stop me from telling everyone how terrible this place is. Here is my review that they tried to bury! 4 years ago: All 3 times I've gone they have made me wait a ridiculously long time, 5+ hours once, and made mistakes every single time. The doctors don't listen, the office staff is useless, and they screwed up the billing with my insurance. Even after getting my insurance to get them on the phone to actually process the claim the right way, they STILL sent it to debt collectors. After all of that, all I got a was an unprofessional doctor telling me "There's nothing we can do for that." when they already KNEW THE PROBLEM I had before making me pay for all their tests that I HAD ALREADY TAKEN at another office and THREE office visits there. A complete scam to drain me of my money. What a shame.
All I can say is I should have listened to other reviewers.... Everything possibly bad about this place is spot on. They do not answer the phone. You WILL be on hold for hours. I wouldn't know about the wait time because we were given the wrong address and when I explained it to the front desk, they were understanding, but the doctor was not. I understand that it's hard to accommodate someone who is late, but when someone drives TWO HOURS for an appointment and is given the wrong address, you could at least see them for the last hour of their allotted time. Terrible phone service, incredibly rude doctors. I wouldn't wish this eye practice on my worst enemy
