My first time here and both visits I had were wonderful. Polite, professional staff. My big judgement of any medical office is how long I am left waiting in the lobby when I am on time for my appointment and they did not disappoint. Exam was very thorough and everything they do is very updated. The Dr was wonderful as well and had me back a second time before giving me a new eyeglass prescription bc he wanted to be sure of a few things. Very much appreciated. Great office!

This was my third visit visit to this office (one visit for each of the last three years). I have had thorough examinations each time. My recent visit, 8/4/26, was even more pleasant because of a fun, yet professional young lady at the front desk. I made sure to let her know that I appreciated her welcoming manner, because it was the first time I had received such at this office (Plaza Extension, Harrisburg).
Out of town, far from my trusted optometrist and University Eye got me in quickly. The Dr. took time to explain what was happening with my eye and what to watch out for. If I lived in Charlotte in the area this would be my top choice for reliable care. Melissa O. 7/28/26
Everything about my visit at University Eye Associates was exceptional! Beginning with making an appointment, all the way through selecting glasses, the staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and quick. Dr. Rose was especially a standout ❤️ As a patient with long COVID, I’m used to people not knowing exactly what that means or how it impacts my health. Dr. Rose took the time to research my condition and its impact on vision…call me BEYOND impressed!! I would absolutely recommend University Eye to anyone looking for excellent care.
My initial experience was really good. I had an acute issue with my eye and was able to be seen same day. The provider was friendly and knowledgeable. I was so impressed I made a mental note that I was going to transfer my vision care to this location. I was given an appointment card for follow up. Since the appointment was 2 weeks out I asked the scheduler if I would receive reminder notification. She said I would. My eye condition flared up again and it just so happened to be after my scheduled eye appointment which I missed. I decided to return to office to see if I could be seen. The receptionist indicated there was an opening later in day but I needed to pay the $50 no show charge. I questioned the charge by stating I never received an email or text reminder. (Which I receive from all medical and dental appointments) The receptionist said "you should have" I indicated I had not. She then proceeded to tell me that my appointment card was the reminder. (With slight attitude) I told her to cancel appointment and I would take my business elsewhere. It wasn't about the $50 but the customer service aspect was missing. I called back later and spoke with someone in billing. I explained my concern. She saw in computer that email or text reminder had not been sent but she didn't have authority to waive fee. She said she would speak to manager and get back with me. That was 5 days ago and no follow up. I can go so far as to say I should have put appointment on my calendar after first visit but I was under impression that a reminder would be sent. Yep long post but disappointed.
