Wasn't terrible like any work place it seems it's a mixed bag of staff but I really liked that the receptionist listened and understood my situation and communicated well with myself and the staff about my concerns. I was made priority to their best ability. I was concerned I would not make it back home in time to get my children from their transportation from school I live 2½ hours away from Pittsburgh but have eye surgery and I use Pittsburgh as care providers at this time but it was 920am when I got there they had appointments ahead of me of course and had to honor the earlier patients first, I was seen at 11 and done at 11:13am. So it wasn't terrible I was seen immediately as possible and was done and back home at 2pm. Staff seemed nice didn't have any issues with anyone there!

I called many weeks ago to schedule a contact lens and basic eye exam for my eye health and for my contact prescription… My contact prescription has already expired and I cannot order new contacts. I asked on the phone and had to call back to follow up and finally received a call back over six weeks ago confirming that my contact exam would be covered after some confusion with somebody saying I have to cancel your appointment one of my appointments was canceled… And reschedule for April so that would be covered I drive all the way out there not only it not covered but in my instructions it says that you validate parking and then when I was leaving you told me you did not validate parking even though right in my instructions it says you do. So you’ve cost me a half a day at work, expensive Parking and I have to come out again to see you because people can’t get their ducks in a row or communicate properly! You need to take corrective action and reimburse me for my extra expenses. I want a telephone call back from an eye exam you spoke both to me and my cousin William Ainsworth because he assisted me in scheduling appointments because I am diagnosed dyslexic. Not my surprise when you even called us back to assure us there wouldn’t be a charge and you tell me it’s gonna be $175 so I have to come back
A secretary verified my coverage when making the appointment. A month later, when I show up at my appointment, I am given some "switch", that my coverage only covers "medical appointments," but not "vision appointments." I have no idea what they are talking about. If this is not a scam, why would they tell me I'm covered when scheduling the appointment for an eye exam? And why would my coverage provider direct me to them specifically for an eye exam? They offered to give me the exam for $85 out of pocket, which seemed like a scam. No thanks, you make me wait a month for an appointment after verifying my coverage, then deny me service. This is being reported, and this office should be investigated for fraudulent activity.
I was in town from Virginia for a funeral. I had just purchased a new pair of glasses online, and was wearing them for the first time. They were too big and kept sliding off my face. The UPMC store was just a block away from my hotel. Out of desperation I stopped in and offered to pay for them to tighten and adjust my glasses, even though I had not purchased them there. The staff were so kind, they fixed them for free and I really appreciated it. From the bottom of my heart--Thank you!
