I recently had my eyes examined at an external office, where I discovered a significant change in my contact lens prescription, increasing from -8.0 to -9.0. This adjustment led to three days of headaches, light sensitivity, and a peculiar vision experience: while I could see clearly at a distance, I struggled with close-up tasks and reading screens. My inability to function effectively at work prompted me to reach out to my cousin for a recommendation for a local eye doctor. She suggested Urban Optics in downtown Northville, and I was fortunate that Dr. Rob was available for a same-day appointment at 5:30 PM. During the examination, Dr. Rob was exceptionally thorough, taking the time to review both my previous and new prescriptions. He transformed my vision from that of a "sharp shooter" to a more manageable level, allowing me to engage productively in daily activities. I am immensely grateful for the extra effort he and his staff, particularly Lea, put into my care. Lea assisted me in selecting the most suitable glasses for my challenging prescription and ensured that my new contacts were ordered and shipped promptly. Dr. Rob, who also runs another practice and visits Northville only a few days each month, is a genuinely compassionate individual, and I cannot thank him and Lea enough for their dedication.

Dr. Diegel is wonderful. He is a down to earth very kind optometrist. I had not been to the optometrist in 10 yrs because it is my nervous hangup. No problem. No more eye dilation !! They can now take pictures !! Lea is wonderful at fitting glasses. As soon as she saw me she picked out a pair of glasses that she thought would look best on my face. She was right, i did look at about 50 pair, but ended up with her 1st impression. She is highly skilled at her trade and knows the ins and outs of vision insurance plans. Dr. Diegel and Lea make this a quality vision center that has sold me for life !!
Great service and many styles of eye glass frames to choose from. Dr. Calder was very professional and very through, gave me a few more test than I've had done before... I've been wearing glasses for over 40 years and this was so refreshing and personal, I felt like their "only customer". I took advantage of their Amazon Local ad and saved some $$. Now, after wearing my new eyeglasses with new updated lenses, my eyesight is much improved... And get this, they were even able to swap out the lenses on my Sport Sunglasses for ridin' my Harley, didn't have to buy a new frame.
I visited Urban Optiques for the first time recently. I was blown away by the aura as soon as I walked into the door. There is a very welcoming and friendly feeling in the air and wasn't all "uppity" like some places can be. I got excellent service like I was the only client there. Dr. Michelle was friendly and made me feel relaxed so I felt good about asking questions and got thorough answers every time. I got my glasses in very quick and when I went to pick them up, I met new women who work there and the treatment was the same. Thank you to Dr. Michelle and all the ladies of Urban Optiques, I won't be going anywhere else for my eye needs and neither will my family and friends!
Staff and doctor were unbelievably rude. I had my records sent over and the eye doctor insisted I had last been seen at a chain and town I had never been to. She looked at my lenses and could not get my Rx from them. After the exam I wanted glasses and contacts. When I found the minimum price of frames to be steep I said I would just buy contacts. After that the guy at the desk got even more indescribably rude. I kept calling to find if the contacts were ready and I was eventually told the paper with the Rx got wet, so they were never ordered. When they finally told me they had come in they said no need to stop back, he would deliver them. They did not come and he said he put them "on my porch." I told him I lived in an apartment but he insisted he had the right address. I never could get any records from them so I was out the money and needed another eye exam from a new doctor.
