I recently visited this eye care office and unfortunately did not have a great experience. The medical assistant was not pleasant and had poor bedside manner, which did not make me feel welcomed or comfortable. My visit with the doctor was adequate, but it felt rushed. My prescription was changed, yet very little time was spent explaining the reasons for the change or answering my questions. The most disappointing part of my visit was my interaction with the staff member at the front desk who discussed pricing for glasses with me. I believe her name was Trish. I was interested in purchasing transition lenses and asked to see actual frame and lens samples so I could compare colors and options. Instead, I was expected to make a decision based on a paper chart. When I requested to see more samples, I was told she would have to retrieve them from a tray and could only show me a couple because the tray was heavy so couldn’t see all the options, which seemed to be viewed as an inconvenience. I also explained that the nose pad on my current glasses had come off and was causing discomfort. I asked if they could make a simple repair until I was ready to purchase new glasses. I was told they would only help if I purchased glasses there or when I returned to buy them. I was disappointed that there was no willingness to assist with a minor repair, especially as a patient of the practice. Customer service and patient care should extend beyond making a sale. The lack of helpfulness and concern for my comfort ultimately influenced my decision not to purchase my glasses from this office. While the doctor was satisfactory, the overall experience left me feeling undervalued as a patient, and I will be taking my business elsewhere.In
