Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Location: Advantage Care (Valley Stream, NY) Provider: Abimbola Jaiyesimi, NP I had a terrible experience at Advantage Care in Valley Stream and strongly urge patients to be cautious. Scheduling & Front Desk: My appointment was originally scheduled for 2:00 PM. Unbeknownst to me, they emailed me a last-minute schedule change to 3:15 PM while I was already sitting in their waiting room. Instead of simply letting me know in person, the front desk staff completely ignored me. The customer service at the front desk is nonexistent. Wait Times & Intake: After being brought back, the nurse took my vitals while making unprofessional and over-the-top jokes. I then waited another 20 minutes in the exam room before being seen. Misdiagnosis & Communication Issues: I was seen by Abimbola Jaiyesimi, NP (Nurse Practitioner). She had severe communication barriers, and I had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times due to poor pronunciation and enunciation. During the exam, she looked at a lump on the left side of my face/neck and misdiagnosed it as Bell's Palsy—a serious neurological condition that causes facial paralysis. Claiming she had "seen this before," she urgently instructed me to go straight to the emergency room. The Result: It turned out to be a simple cyst—not Bell’s Palsy at all. The severe misdiagnosis caused unnecessary panic and an unneeded hospital trip. If you visit this facility, ensure you are evaluated by a fully qualified doctor who can communicate clearly and provide accurate medical assessments. My experience with the nurse practitioner at this facility was deeply disappointing. Advantage Care should closely evaluate its staff regarding communication and customer service, as patients deserve respectful, high-quality treatment.

I am always impressed with the staff, from the front desk to the MA's and my doctor, Dr. Abeleva. They all take their time with the patients and are comforting and thorough. The staff will always return calls. I highly recommend.
ACPny Valley Stream is a good location, with four‑star staff and four‑star cleanliness, but the waiting time is a negative five stars. When you average everything together, the overall rating comes out to 2 stars.A 30‑minute appointment routinely turns into a 3‑hour ordeal, with about 2 hours spent just waiting. This has become the norm. Even after many people complain, the waiting time keeps getting longer and longer. In fact, the more complaints there are, the longer the wait seems to become. Appointments no longer feel like appointments, they feel like extended delays. Avoid coming to this location at all costs unless you have plenty of time to wait.
Made a formal complaint, emailed, and complained on the ethics website. I also followed up several times. Management never followed through. Ethics closed out my complaint, stating that they have completed their "investigation" into the matter and cannot disclose any further information, as it is a private matter. Meanwhile, the private manner originated from my complaint about my medical care. If you have a complaint, they try to cover it up in-house. You may not hear from them again. Wait times are horrible. Would not recommend.
First of all they keep the bathrooms locked on the 3rd floor after redoing them so there is always a line to get into the other single bathrooms that should not be allowed. I remember I was here few months back and they had loud construction for weeks and they redid the bathrooms just to keep them locked on the 3rd floor is absolutely ridiculous for a medical office to do, it’s always dirty , humid and gross here . Everyone seems to have an attitude here EXCEPT for Lennox hill and New York blood center and eye crafters they are nice but the ACP staff needs to step up cleaning , updating their area , unlocking bathrooms , staff rude attitudes even upper management for this advantage care company is disappointing. There is no proper signage anywhere here . This place is a run down dump including the staff
