I’ve been doing a lot of “adulting” lately and decided it was time to update my prescription. I’m so glad I went to VanBuskirk Optician.! The staff is super nice, punctual, and just plain affable. The office is spotless, in a great location with easy parking, and they have an awesome selection of frames. Dr. Salvatore DeCanio was absolutely wonderful. He’s patient, kind, and you can tell he truly enjoys his work. He improved my vision tremendously with a new prescription. He even had me test new contacts for a week and then come back for a follow-up to see if anything needed adjusting. He tweaked them just a bit - and wow, I cannot believe how sharp my vision is now. I always get a little anxious at eye exams, thinking I’m going to give the “wrong” answer when asked, “Which is better, 1 or 2? A or B?” But Dr. DeCanio never rushed me. He repeated the choices as many times as I needed so I could be sure. That patience made all the difference. If you’re looking for friendly staff, a clean and welcoming office, and a doctor who really cares about getting your vision just right, VanBuskirk is the place. Highly recommend Dr. DeCanio and the whole team! 👓✨

I have purchased 4 pairs of glasses in the past 12 months. Every purchase has been greeted with great customer service and experience. Pat and Todd have patiently allowed me to try on multiple samples while providing honest feedback. I would highly recommend to my family and friends to visit Van Buskirk for their eye health and wear. #ICU
