I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Virginia Ophthalmology Associates. I first saw Dr. Ayesha Rahman for contact lenses. During my visit, she told me that Dr. Joel Lall-Trail might be able to correct the double vision I had been living with. I am so grateful she made that recommendation. Dr. Lall-Trail thoroughly explained my options and gave me confidence that surgery could help. My surgery went extremely well, and I am thrilled to say that my double vision is gone. It has truly been life-changing. I am incredibly thankful to Dr. Rahman for recognizing that I could be helped and to Dr. Lall-Trail for his exceptional surgical skill and compassionate care. They have given me back clear, single vision, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend both doctors and the entire team at Virginia Ophthalmology Associates. Virginia Ophthalmology Associates is the only place I trust in Hampton Roads for eye care. Dr. Ayesha Rahman is an excellent optometrist and contact lens specialists. My family has been with her for over 15 years. Dr. Joel Lall-Trail takes care of my grandkids now who actually travel from NOVA to see him as well as my local family. He is awesome with the kids and an outstanding pediatric ophthalmologist. Sometimes you have to wait to get in but it is worth the wait. They are honest and trustworthy!

I have been going to Dr. Cauthen for years, she is very knowledgeable and answers any questions I have and explains everything so you can understand exactly what is going on. The entire office has always been polite and respectful. Great customer service from the technicians. The office is clean and spacious.

I had a great experience with Dr. Rahman. I was having trouble with blurry vision with my contacts prescription from another eye doctor and she took the time necessary to really dial in my prescription! She also sent me home with sample lenses so I could see what worked best for me in the real world. Can't wait to get my new glasses and contacts!!

I can't say enough good things about this practice! I received the kind of service that makes you want to call someone and tell them how great it was. The employee who answered the phone and got me scheduled went above and beyond to understand my concerns and assess the urgency of my issue. The staff in the office were friendly and efficient. When it came time for my exam I was blown away by Dr. Rahman and how thorough and kind she was! She asked questions and listened to my answers, and took her time to explain what was going on with me and answer my questions. I was able to leave feeling like no stone was left unturned when it came to my eye exam. If I could give them 6 stars I would. Highly recommend!
