Vision Source Family Eye Care

We chose this clinic because they specialize in our son’s vision needs, and our experience last year was wonderful. Unfortunately, this year was very disappointing. The clinic scheduled his appointment and even sent us a reminder. On the appointment day, my husband drove our son to the clinic in another city, only to be told that he was not on the schedule. We later learned that someone had supposedly called on Friday and cancelled the appointment — but neither of his parents made that call. We understand that mistakes happen, but a simple acknowledgment of the mistake and an apology would have meant a lot. We hope the clinic improves its communication and appointment management in the future.

I had the best experience with the Brunswick location. The 2 wonderful ladies at the front desk, the assistant that did the first eye tests and especially the eye doctor. They all really listened and were so helpful and kind. I came for an updated prescription due to blurry vision in my contact lenses and left with trial lenses that are much clearer and they ordered another trial set to see if they will help with my astigmatism. I am a Project Manager / Efficiency Expert and I’m trained to see “what could have been done better” in every situation. This is the only circumstance I have ever experienced where I have absolutely no suggestions and only positive things to say. Job beyond well done!!!

All the staff and the doctor were so nice and helpful throughout my visit! The office was clean, the wait time was short, and the doctor took the time to explain everything clearly. They made me feel very welcome, and I was highly pleased with my experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great eye care!

The doctor is amazing! Very thorough and explained everything to me. Great visit with him! Then time to check out. When I got there the girl with the wig had my chart pulled up and I asked her what my total for the day would be. She said $49. At checkout it was $89. I questioned the difference and was told that it was for a contact exam. When I asked why that wasn’t quoted to me originally, the office staff said because I did not tell them I was getting the contact exam. Also, that if I come every year, I should already know. I haven’t been in three years. Point is they were blaming me that they quoted me the wrong price!! All 3 had the same attitude.. not one tried to communicate back in a professional manner. What?! All I wanted was acknowledgment they made an error and possible learning experience that they give more accurate information next time based on the patient. All they could do was blame me and say it was my fault! Everyone makes mistakes, but to continually blame me and accept zero responsibility was mind-boggling I asked to speak to the doctor and they reluctantly said they would have him call me. I let them know that I’d be leaving a review based on my actual experience and one said “ohhh OK” with a smirk, they did not care at all. So here you go!!

Everyone, from the moment we arrived, extended friendliness and welcome. The check in was easy and the tests by the Dr’s assistant were well explained and executed. The Dr was thorough and explained everything. And the eyeglass worker was helpful and thorough. All in all I was very pleased.
