I went in hoping for glasses that help with my driving at night, in the rain (anti glare) and with blue light filters. They give me a prescription and my glasses come in and they were horrible. They worsened my eyesight and instantly gave me a headache. Instantly, they schedule me a new appointment for 3 weeks away. I attend a new eye exam and they give me a different prescription. Even during the exam I told them I could see the letters even better without any of the lenses they showed me after they took them away. I wait another few weeks for my new prescription. Same thing… instantly I am rewarded with a headache but the attendee tells me they’re for far sight not close up things. I’m told to give them a month use because they are my first glasses and it takes time to adjust. I did my best, but these also worsened my eyesight. I couldn’t drive with them, I couldn’t read with them and they were overall just useless. I went back after the month and told them of this. This is where it gets really horrible. They told me there was nothing they could do. They told me they gave me the lowest prescription available because otherwise my insurance wouldn’t cover it. All I wanted was eyeglasses to help with glare and blue light filter and instead the scammed me and my insurance. I don’t even need prescription lenses. I’m out of a couple hundred bucks. Just be weary of these people.

Went on May 21 for a contacts appointment, waited 30 minutes even though I had an appointment. Ordered my contacts and had my eye exam, they told me they would call me within a week to schedule the contacts class. I never heard from them despite receiving an automated email that my contacts were delivered to the store. Spent weeks trying to get in touch with someone but the only phone number provided is remote assistants and AI prompts, could not get in touch with actual Latham store. Ended up having to go to office to schedule the appointment because no one would answer the phone, they were not even apologetic. Scheduled the contacts class for June 29 and received a call that morning that they had to reschedule me for July 7. I asked if there was anything sooner because I’ve been waiting since May and there wasn’t. Not great customer service, impossible to get a hold of a real person in office to speak to, lazy scheduling.
Really slow service. They should fire all the staff here. Takes 2 hours to get pair of glasses. This is just insane. Staff are untrained and they doesn't know what they are doing 😡🤯.
I was hesitant about using visionworks again after having a negative experience with a different location. My appointment moved along quickly, the staff were friendly and caring. They listened to my concerns and took the time to explain what could have been the issue in the past. I highly recommend the Latham location.
I've had a very frustrating experience with this store over the past week. I live out of state and needed a pair of glasses transferred to a VisionWorks location closer to me. Over the course of three days, I called multiple times but never received a response from the store. The phone system routes calls to VisionWorks customer service, and after several attempts, customer service was finally able to connect me with the store directly. During that conversation, I was told someone would call me back within 15 minutes, but I never received a callback. Later, on my fourth call that day, the store answered and immediately disconnected the call. The lack of communication and follow-through has been extremely frustrating. The store needs a more reliable way for customers to get in touch without having to visit in person.
