The staff was very polite, helpful, and patient with my appointment needs, I guess I caught them on a good day, LOL. The only complication it was my first visit to this facility and I was unaware that since I made an online appointment that I needed to sign in which kind of delayed my appointment time by about 10 to 15 minutes, no biggie. Other than that once my wife and my daughter move up here to Bowling Green. I think they’ll be happy with my selection of Vision Works. Shout out to Dr. Kevin Burt, Sean, Julie and unfortunately I don’t remember her name, but the young lady that did the preliminary work. I was very happy with the whole experience, thank you guys!!

Horrible experience. The receptionist was great though when I walked in. Dr was not very patient with by 5 year old today at his first appt for his kindergarten screening. Was rude in my opinion. Very rushed appt. Then I was trying to talk to the doctor about a concern I had and he brushed it off with “if he’s on electronics all the time it will happen” well he’s not. But thank you. As I’m talking he and another staff member start a conversation and then he just walks away. Unprofessional, rude, and not where I want my family to go.
Before I even start, I know it’s back-to-school season and eye clinics are incredibly busy. I had broken my glasses, though, and they were causing constant migraines. I finally managed to get a day off work, but I didn’t have an appointment. I stopped in hoping for the best, and Amanda found a way to get me worked into the schedule. That simple act of kindness meant more than she probably realizes. From the moment I walked in, everyone treated me with genuine compassion. I wish I could remember the name of the wonderful lady who did my puff test because she was so kind and welcoming. She made something I usually dread feel easy. I only waited a few minutes before seeing the doctor, and as always, both doctors were fantastic. They’re knowledgeable, caring, and never make you feel rushed. But the part of my visit that truly stayed with me was what happened afterward. I decided I wanted to finally try contacts. I was nervous and honestly didn’t think I’d be able to do it. That’s where Shawn and Jodee absolutely blew me away. They didn’t rush me. They didn’t get frustrated. They encouraged me, coached me through every step, celebrated the little victories, and never once made me feel embarrassed or like I was taking too long. I even told them, “Please never leave this place. I’ve never had anyone at any doctor’s office speak to me with so much patience and kindness.” I meant every word. People often recognize doctors, but the staff behind the scenes are just as important. Shawn and Jodee are the kind of people who completely change your experience. Because of their patience, I walked out wearing contacts—something I honestly don’t think would have happened anywhere else. Many people would have given up on me or simply moved on. They didn’t. They believed I could do it until I believed it too. Amanda, Shawn, Jodee, the doctors, and the entire team made what started as a miserable migraine-filled day end with me feeling cared for. In a world where healthcare can sometimes feel rushed and impersonal, this office reminds you what genuine kindness looks like. Thank you all for treating your patients like people instead of just another appointment. It truly makes a difference, and I’ll never forget it.I’m
Fast and friendly staff. They try to accommodate any of your reasonable requests and nothing was complicated. Only issues I can point to were 2 staff members that might have just been having a bad day and weren't primarily dealing with me anyway and a few weeks to get glasses is a new thing for me. That might be totally outta thier hands thpugh. I would recommend them if you need your exam fast, on your schedule and the sheer amount of locations making finding one and getting there easy.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. We walked into Visionworks and scheduled same-day appointments for myself and my two children. When we returned for our 2:00 PM appointment, both of my children were on the schedule, but somehow I had been left off entirely. I explained that I had scheduled an appointment at the same time as the kids, but I was simply told there was nothing they could do. What made this even more frustrating was that both of my children were taken back at the same time and finished with their exams and fittings before 3:00 PM. It was obvious there was enough time during our visit to accommodate me as a paying customer. On top of that, as we were leaving, my daughter overheard staff discussing a 4:00 PM cancellation that they planned to give to another walk-in. At no point did anyone offer that appointment to me, even though I had already been there for over an hour after their scheduling mistake. The customer service only got worse from there. When I requested my children’s pupillary distance so I could purchase their glasses elsewhere if I chose to, the staff became argumentative and acted as though I shouldn’t be asking for information from my own records. The interaction at the front desk was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. The optometrist who saw my children was kind, and their exams themselves went extremely well. Unfortunately, the poor scheduling, lack of accountability, and unprofessional customer service overshadowed the entire experience. I expect mistakes to happen, but I also expect businesses to take responsibility and make a reasonable effort to correct them. That simply did not happen here.
