UPDATING REVIEW ON 6/26. as of today, i have been issued a full refund for my glasses. Greg reached out to me a few days ago and let me know to go back to this visionworks and i would be taken care of. i am glad that this situation has been resolved and very appreciative to Greg, but i still want to say that a bad review shouldn’t be the motivating factor to give good customer service. this could’ve been easily handled at a store level. original review: very disappointed with this Visionworks. this is the second frames i have bought with visionworks, the first frames were great and had no issues, this year for my annual exam i picked out a recommended pair by the worker helping me. after waiting the designated time and picking up my frames on 06/02, i loved my glasses. fast forward to today, 06/19, while removing my glasses, the frame cracked on the top of the frame on both sides of the glasses by the nose part of the glasses. okay, weird, but stuff happens, i’ve only had them for a little over two weeks. i reached out to Visionworks and spoke to the first person i was directed to, and was told since i didn’t purchase any type of warrant they couldn’t do anything. i again stated that i hadn’t even had them for 30 days, and she said, “Again, like i said, since you didn’t purchase a warranty there’s nothing we can do.” okay click. i barely get my glasses glued enough to see (while i'm at work mind you) and take an early lunch to go to Eyemart Express because i need glasses that i can see out of and aren’t terribly crooked. i go to eyemart, talk to the lady there, and she looks at my glasses. She states in all her wisdom, that this doesn’t look like a break from me, but a manufacturer defect where they had made my lenses too big, and that spots that cracked, and one side that subsequently broke because of that. i had told her what had conspired with calling visionworks and ya da ya da, and she was like that doesn’t sound right, let ME give them a call. she calls, i assume speaks to the same lady by the way she described the interaction, and was again told nothing could be done and you’re out of luck unless you purchase a warranty in the future. lol, okay. eyemart lady hangs up and says “ wow she was very rude, and didn’t offer any solutions.” okay, great. after the grueling task of now picking out the second “perfect pair” of glasses (which let’s be honest takes forever) eyemart rings me up for the glasses (not covered with insurance since i’ve already used my allotted amount with visionworks for the year) , and pay ANOTHER $200 out of my pocket for glasses. okay, sounds good right? so as eyemart works their magic in making my glasses, i call corporate and speak to a dude who hears me out and makes my concerns feel valid. he then says “well, did you speak to the general manager?” and i say “no; the lady said nothing could be done.” and he’s like “well, okay, i’ll reach out the the general manager and have them give you a call.” okie dokie sounds good. this call with corporate ends at about 11:37 am. eyemart finishes my glasses (in a record breaking 26 minutes) and i go on my merry way from my super extended lunch. i await patiently by the phone all day, only to be met with no phone calls. i am now typing and publishing this at 7:30 pm the same day, deeply disappointed and frankly mad. i didn’t get miss rude lady’s name from this location, but if she treats you anything like she treated me, you won’t want to come back. so, thank you, visionworks for using my insurance benefits and taking my hard earned money for crappy cheap glasses that break when the wind blows. oh, and one last thing, i’ve had glasses going on 20 years, and i have never ONCE broken them. no, i don’t box professionally for a living or have a job where they would get broken.

Everyone there was great I was willing to help the doctor I had was super super nice and the only thing I disagree with is your signthat you have a buy one pair get one free. That only applies if you do not have insurance. My boyfriend went and did not have insurance. He got a pair. Buy one get one free. I went July 3 and mine was buy one get one half price because I have insurance that that’s very misleading otherwise my visit was perfect.
We went for our eye exam and as soon as we walked in there’s a strong perfume that hits you. It’s was so overwhelming it gave me a headache and made my eyes run and hurt by the time we left. I don’t think you need a strong air freshener in an eye store or anywhere else. People do have migraines and are prone to headaches from very powerful smells. The staff was very nice, the doctor I had was very nice as well. We didn’t get much time to choose glasses but hopefully we got some that will look ok. I hope by the time we get to pick them up that the air won’t be so very strong in there. I used to love visionworks.
Your employees are EXTREMELY patient and helpful. This is my first pair of glasses. & they are No Line Bifocals. They are extremely hard to find the best spot to look through, while trying to get them fitted to my face. They have treated me kindly every single time I have walked in through your doors. I appreciate it.
Quality of service has nosedived. Basically refused to do a fitting which is supposed to come free with the purchase of frames. This is after they were adjusted previously without a fitting, twice, which bent the frames and caused them to be misshapen. One lens is closer to my eye than the other. That's not good, not what I paid hundreds of dollars for, and hurts my eyes. So today I came back and asked for a fitting to be done with measurements. Employee asked, "what measurements?" Oh I don't know, maybe the ones listed on the Visionworks website such as eye lens alignment, bridge fit, etc.? Anyway, asked me to sit at one of the check out desks, not the fitting table. Left with the glasses, did something, handed the frames back to me and asked me how they felt. Like, I can't determine while wearing them whether they're still a little closer to one eye than the other. I told him this multiple times. You have to LOOK AT THEM AND FIT THEM. My father showed him how if you look at them they are (still) slanted. He acknowledged they were, "a little." Like okay THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE. Basically refused to do anything. Offered no real solution. And when I asked about a fitting with measurements again and specifically listed the measurements stated on the website he basically said that those are for fit and they look like they fit okay. Same person who initially asked me, "what measurements?" Like you clearly knew what measurements. Years ago you didn't have to ask them to do a fitting, they just did it. Not only did I have to ask for a fitting this time I WAS REFUSED. So I guess I'm going to the Evansville location to see if they'll bother to do their jobs. This location has really gone downhill in the 3 or 4 years since I'd been previously. I'll never be back. And after hopefully the Evansville location bothers to maybe fix my misshapen frames I'll never get glasses at Visionworks again. I've gotten glasses from this company for 20 years and always been satisfied. But the service overall was awful this time. Excluding the exam, which was fine. So maybe come here for an inexpensive eye exam but I would not recommend getting your frames and lenses at this location.
