I have been with Dr. Heidi Schauffele, OD, for many years. She recently moved to Vista Eye Care. I am getting to know the staff who all seem really welcoming and nice. I love Bre. She was with Dr. Schauffele from her prior office and is a gem. Hard to find that caliber of intellect, compassion and warmth. Another person I met that is very caring and friendly is Monica. As always, Dr. Schauffele is amazing! I have quite a few diagnoses: myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. It is very difficult to get gas permeable hard lenses (with those 3 diagnoses) to fit correctly and have wonderful vision. Dr. Schauffele has always had patience with me over multiple visits. She always comes up with new ways to get my lenses to fit perfectly and have excellent vision, though my eyes are changing and aging. Her staff have always worked diligently to get my insurance to cover whatever is possible. The office ambience is calm and serene here and I like the bathroom which is out the back hallway instead of in the middle of the lobby. I love this place and would highly recommend it.

Dr Barber is truly amazing and very dedicated to her patients. She goes above and beyond ensuring her patients are well taken care off even after "business hours". Her "bedside manner" care was definitely prominent and I am truly grateful. Let me explain. I need a specific medication and long story short, insurance company kept denying refusing to authorize my med and it was a complete nightmare. Took me a long 4 months to get my prescription approved but if it wasn't for Dr Barber and Ryan not giving up, it would not have been possible. Ryan is truly an asset and an amazing addition to her team. His diligence and dedication to ensuring that the "PA" and timely paperwork were all been attended to was more than I could have asked for. His constant updates, patience, bright smile and personality was very refreshing during this hectic time. If you want an optometrist and support staff who listens, has excellent bed side manners and really cares about you, look no further( no pun) and drop in.
I switched to Vista Point Eye Care for my eye care needs after being with another Optometrist for 10 years. Since I walked into Vista Point for the first time several months ago, I experienced consistent excellent service as follows: - The doctor provided excellent patient-centered care. She is so knowledgeable! She also made me feel comfortable, actively listened to my needs and concerns, and explained throughly the procedures. - Lina was incredibly empathetic and provided exceptional patient care. She took the time to listen to my questions and explain my insurance coverage. In addition to being patient, Lina provided a warm experience, making me feel like a valued patient. - Bre was equally as pleasant. She provided great patient care and professionalism while taking preliminary vision photos and while performing the administrative work at the end of my appointment.
I have been a patient of Dr. Barber for a long time; but, with one thing and another, I had not been in for an eye exam in several years. In any event, Dr. Barber, and all of her staff, were friendly, polite, helpful, and professional; and, they took absolutely great care of me! I do hope I don't forget anyone; but, I would like to mention a few of the people on the Vista Point Eye Care staff who did a really super job of helping me. At the Reception Desk, Monica was patient and kind, and did a very thorough job of assisting me with the "Patient General Information" questionnaire, which I had entirely forgotten I would need to fill out! Usually, on my first appointment with any new doctor, I would "bring a list" with me, of my Medical History, Regular Prescription Medications, etc. However, I didn't think of myself as a "New Patient" with Dr. Barber; but, because eight years had slipped by since my last eye exam, OF COURSE I was considered a "New Patient"! Ha! It took awhile; but, with Monica's help, I got it done. Ryan "went above and beyond", not only in ensuring that he was correctly and precisely "measuring my eyes"; but, also in helping me -- in my wheelchair -- to get around the office, including a trip to the "somewhat secluded" Rest Room! Ryan is a friendly person; and, he enjoys being helpful. He is also quite diligent with the technical aspects of his optometric position; and, I very much appreciated his professionalism. Angelina ("Lina") was friendly and very patient in helping me to select some new eyeglass frames; especially, because I had not done that for many years! (I had not seen Dr. Barber for eight years; plus, I had worn Contact Lenses for several years before that!) I greatly appreciated her knowledge and calm expertise; particularly because I had asked to see frames in the "entry-level" price range. In a relatively short period of time, I was able to select some handsome frames; which, I believe I will be quite happy with for a long time. I left Dr. Barber's office, Vista Point Eye Care, feeling like I had experienced a very friendly, caring, competent, and professional eye examination; and, a successful eyeglass frame selection. And, I will do my best to get back for my next exam, a lot sooner than I did last time!
Service was great. When picking out glasses, Emily was very helpful and her knowledge was incredible. Explained thoroughly the difference between bifocals and progressive lenses. She was so helpful helping me make a decision on lens type. It is obvious she has been in the field for a long time and takes her career seriously. I'm a retired business owner. I would be over the moon to find an employee like her.
