Walmart Vision Center

I have been a patient at this office for several years and never expected to be treated this way. My contact lens prescription expired by one day, and despite Florida law allowing prescriptions to be valid for up to two years (unless there is a medical condition), they refused to authorize it. I am not diabetic, I am healthy, and I have no medical issues that would justify this denial. When I called politely to ask for help, the front desk was extremely unprofessional, refused to listen, and actually raised her voice at me. There was no empathy, no attempt to resolve the situation, and no customer service whatsoever. It is very clear that this office prioritizes charging for exams over patient care. I now have no appointment, no prescription, and no support from a practice I trusted for years. I do not recommend this office to anyone who expects professionalism or basic respect.

I had my annual eye examination with Dr. Koontz. Dr. Koontz provided a thorough examination and explained everything to me in great detail. She is extremely courteous and professional, and I will continue to go this specific Walmart Vision Center due to the professionalism of the doctors.

I experienced slow service and unprofessional behavior during my visit today. After completing an initial set of exams, I was placed in another office and left waiting for 15 minutes without any updates or acknowledgment—almost as if they had forgotten a patient was still waiting. When I raised the issue, the response from the front desk was dismissive, stating that “everywhere you have to wait.” Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not plan to return.
