In past history, I was able to get different frames for my lens. Long story short, my son would break his frames. I would go, pay for either a replacement or a different frame but same lens. Today, I went to do the same. I spoke with a gentleman, who told me it's now against the law to do that. He mentioned it's been active since February (I had gotten frame's replaced there before way after February). He speaks to his colleague, Who said maybe it was 2-3 weeks ago that this law went into effect from today. This is already disturbing because no one is on the same page. I've usually had nice compliments to this store. However, this is not the case anymore so it seems. The reason for all of this happening supposedly is because it's an "Alter" in the prescription (Stop, it's the same lens, different frames. A prescription is written for a lens, not a frame). Well, Now, I'm having to have my son use his old glasses which are not as effective. And I have to wait days/weeks for either a replacement from his DR. Thank goodness I held onto his old glasses because he would be blind as a bat, and no thanks to these people.
I really liked Dr. Neeb. She was extremely friendly and took her time with me and made sure to answer all my questions. She even found me a solution to an issue I was having with my contacts. I had been to so many optometrists all over NYC and never have i had the service I received with Dr. Neeb. Thank you. The staff was also very pleasant and helped me pick out a pair of very affordable frames.
Nice doctor, great exam. Very good experience. Best prices on frames. My advice, get the best lens available - they carry Nikon lens - they are clearly the best (no pun intended).
If I could put zero stars, I would. I’m visiting from NC and just had surgery on my eyes. I just needed a non prescriptive clear contact to act as a bandaid for my eye because it was irritated (which my eye doctor in NC recommended when I spoke to them on the phone.) When I asked the eye doctor here at Vision Center about it, he laughed and said in a cocky manner “now why would I want to get involved with something like that. Good luck.” I was shocked and walked away in disbelief. I never write reviews, but this left me very upset that he wouldn’t even entertain the idea of seeing me to help.
