Angie in the vision center gave us the best service my wife and myself have received anywhere. I am not a fan of Walmart but I’m willing to give them another chance simply because of her. This amazing lady needs an immediate RAISE! Their vision center had the largest selection at the best prices I have ever found. Finally, GIVE ANGIE A RAISE!!

I am writing regarding my recent experience with Walmart Vision Center in Newark and would like to bring to your attention the unprofessional behavior displayed by an associate named Angie. The situation involved a mutual patient who had received his prescription from the doctor at your location and wanted to purchase his glasses from our office. In order to complete the glasses accurately, we needed to verify the patient’s valid prescription. Unfortunately, our fax machine was not working at the time, and because the patient urgently needed his glasses before leaving out of state for work, we were trying our best to complete the order as quickly and accurately as possible before closing. To avoid any mistakes when writing down the prescription over the phone, I politely asked Angie to repeat and verify the prescription slowly to ensure accuracy for the patient’s benefit. Instead of responding professionally, she appeared irritated, replied, “OMG, is she new?” and then continued speaking even faster afterward. I found this comment and behavior extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. I have significant experience working in the optical field, and asking for verification does not mean I am inexperienced. It means I care about the patient and want to ensure the prescription is accurate before processing the order. Additionally, while I do have an accent, I understand English clearly. The attitude and tone directed toward both me and our patient during this interaction were unprofessional and disappointing. I believe all patients and healthcare professionals deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism. I hope this matter can be addressed appropriately to prevent similar situations from happening in the future. Thank you for your time and attention.

The process to have the usual tests performed and to get my vision checked was surprisingly speedy. When I arrived for my appointment, there were other people with the same appointment time however, I didn’t have to wait more than five minutes to begin. Nor did the other customers, plenty of employees. The process from start to finish only took about 15 to 20 minutes. I was also pleased to see they had MULTIPLE price options for glasses as well. $8, $40, $60, $90, $120; lots of variations to meet your budget. Every price category had really nice to descent sets of frames so your not having to settle. Overall very satisfied. The optometrist was shockingly and accurately quick in his diagnosis process. I was impressed. The glasses I had previously had the lenses flipped during the manufacturing process and I never knew. He corrected the issue with a new RX, they arrived in 4 days, and I was back to perfect vision 👌🏼 Thank you for all your help vision team, I will be returning when in need.

The exam went well, and DR.ceneviva was great. However, upon leaving one of the other workers gave me someone else’s prescription and not my own. The only way to get a new one is to go in. Which happens to be very inconvenient with my work schedule and very unprofessional. When I called today to ask if there was another way maybe email it over the phone, the woman was very much not understanding and made me feel like I was wasting her time, when it is not my fault they were careless and unprofessional. Now in order to even order my new glasses, I have to make a special trip. Very angry about this.
