The doctor Paul S.Kate is kind and professional and all other ladies that help you buy lenses/glasses. But the guy who work at front desk is a very very unprofessional that i have ever seen. Incredibly poor experience. My son was having trouble performing a test, which can happen with children. Instead of handling it professionally and ask for assistance the receptionist wrote down a diagnosis of "autism" in his file without speaking to me or asking a single question. Front-desk staff are not doctors and have no right to slap labels on patients because a test didn't go smoothly. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of training, empathy, and professionalism here.

So I have already been going here for 3 years. The doctor is kind and professional and so are the other ladies that help you buy lenses/glasses. But this one guy as a receptionist has the BIGGEST ATTITUDE EVER!!! My first time ever I thought he was having a bad day it happens to everyone. But he is always rude, unprofessional and bossy. If you’re going to spend money spend it somewhere else where you get treated with kindness and respect. But if a single receptionist doesn’t ruin your day then I guess go here…..

The only issue I have is that they took my insurance for the eye exam ,but only told me they didn’t take my insurance for the lenses after my son took the eye exam… I felt scammed, I had to order lenses online at that point.

Dr. Katz is the best doctor to go to for any eye issue. He literally knows everything. One time, I had a strange eye issue and could not get in to see Dr. Katz. I went to another doctor. That doctor stated that he had been practicing for 20 years and had never seen this issue before. He had no recommendation. I then was able to get in with Dr. Katz, and he knew what it was Immediately. Just recently, I went to my primary care doctor for a throat and eye issue. He told me to take DayQuil. I went to Jewel Osco and talked to the pharmacist. She stated that DayQuil would not help with my issue. I then went to see Dr. Katz for my eyes. My eye was getting worse. Dr. Katz knew, right away, that I needed a steroid for my eye. It's amazing that the other eye doctor said that he has been practicing for 20 years but didn't know what was wrong. Dr. Katz knew Immediately. Even with the recent issue, my primary care doctor should have known that a steroid was needed. We only trust Dr. Katz with our eyes! My daughter and I have been going to him for about ten years. I always tell my family and friends about Dr. Katz.
