My husband had an eye appointment on 2/22/25 and I was looking to see if I could order glasses. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. One of the staff, Stephanie, went above and beyond to keep my 8 year son busy with coloring while I looked at glasses. She also helped me decide on some glasses and was very thorough on explaining the costs and what was covered by insurance. We were there for quite awhile and she was very patient with us. Grateful for her great customer service! 👍

Even though I had to call and make an appointment, and cancel 5 minutes later, Holly is AWESOME. She actually told me some stuff about my insurance than I didn't even know that will be very helpful going forward. Thanks Holly! I will come back here, if glasses right now weren't an emergency, I would have kept my appointment.
I think this group of optical workers need retrained. The process moves very slow. We came in a half an hour before appointment to pick out frames first and to do paperwork, and when the scheduled time arrived the doctor and the tech had just gotten back from lunch(the doc explained they just came back from lunch) it still took 10/15 min after the scheduled time. So the tech got the paperwork and took over 10 min to enter into computer. She explained it takes a while. Now half hour late, Ok, then the doctor did the exam. So they doctor decided to dilate the eyes after I checked no on options So I asked why, and what are you doing, the doctor reply was she's over 18 yrs old and have her explain it. The very first question on the paperwork was if you are developmentally delayed and I checked yes. So if you ask that question why dont the doctor read it. In the meantime the doctor said I've already put drops in. No she won't tell me nothing because of HIPA. So when they called her back into the exam room I was giving info to the person helping with the glasses. Then I went back and then she told me why after I signed papers. Communication is the key here. Dr Kurutz assumed. If she had asked I would of told her she sees the opthomologist 2x a year. Your paperwork don't ask that question. Plus dealing with a developmental person and this taking so long they flipped out in the office. Holly needs to type faster and Dr Kurutz needs to ask questions
I'm pleasantly surprised with Walmart optical. A change of insurance forced fewer optical choices, Walmart is one. I had my doubts, but I'm very happy with how I was treated, the professionalism of the staff and the time they spent with me. They found the perfect script for my eyes. My glasses came in very quick and I love them. Thank you!
