The doctor was very nice and thorough. He made sure that I was satisfied with my new contacts prescription. Dana, the eye contact teacher, was so patient. Thank you guys!

Do not go to the eye doctor at the New Hartford Vision Center. I needed a simple contact lens exam which the North Utica & Rome Walmart doctors do in one easy session. The New Hartford doctor insisted on 3 separate visits, 2 of them to do unnecessary tests even though I have no personal or family history of eye problems and have no current issues. The tests he did were painful and unlike any tests I’ve ever had at other locations. He did not seem to care at all when I expressed discomfort. He was rude and blamed the discomfort on the size of my eyes, which clearly I have no control over. After the second visit, I left without contacts and cancelled the 3rd appointment. Now I get to pay 100% out of pocket to go back to the doctor in the Rome location. This doctor is highly unprofessional & does not provide an appropriate level of care, so steer clear of this location. I only gave it 1 star because 0 isn’t an option, but there is no way I would ever go near this place again.
Pretty rude staff, including doctor. It’s a Walmart eye center not a prestigious institution.
Best eye doctor I have ever been to see, he really cares that you’re going to get the right prescription and Dr Rafalski is very pleasant and straightforward. The eye associates are also friendly and helpful.
