I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hinson for over twenty years at the Walmart Vision Center, and he continues to be an excellent optometrist. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and truly attentive to patient care. He always makes the exam process comfortable and takes the time to answer questions, which I greatly appreciate. Unfortunately, the experience with the staff does not reflect the same level of professionalism. The employees seem to lack basic common courtesy and clear communication skills, which make visits and telephone conversations unnecessarily frustrating. Simple interactions could be handled with more respect and clarity. I highly recommend Dr. Hinson for his expertise and long-standing commitment to his patients, but I sincerely hope the staff improves their customer service to create a more positive overall experience.

I usually go here for my glasses and have a decent time. The eye doctor is incredibly kind and considerate, and normally the staff who greet the customers to get appointments made are nice as well. HOWEVER, I called yesterday to make an appointment and the man who answered my call was incredibly condescending. I'm not due for another eye exam for a few months but I got frames I'm excited to wear so I made an appointment prematurely. The man on the line begins to give me financial advice saying things like "why would you do that?" "If you want to waste your money then go ahead" "If I were you I would wait." No matter what I said he give me a new reason to convince me it was a bad idea, like I didn't know what I was doing. At the end of the day I'm calling to make an appointment. Not for unsolicited advice.
The soonest you can be seen is 2 weeks. Why is it that they called me a day before my appointment to reschedule ANOTHER 2 Weeks away. Idk if I want to go here anymore
Kevin went above and beyond to answer all my questions and was a great representation of the company! Thank you so much for your service!
As an OTR truckdriver, if something happens to my glasses they can repair or replace my glass for free at any Walmart.
