I am very disappointed with my experience at this office. At first, I was advised to get progressive lenses. I bought them, but unfortunately, they were not comfortable for me and I had a very difficult time using them. I then requested regular eyeglasses, similar to the type I have received many times over the years from other optometrists. However, I noticed today that the glasses I received only allow me to see clearly at a distance, and I cannot see well up close like my old one. This is not what I expected. I simply wanted a regular pair of eyeglasses like I have always had, where I can comfortably see both far away and close up. I also do not understand why the process has become so complicated at this store. Every other place I have gone to in the past, I was able to get regular eyeglasses that worked for both distance and near vision without this much difficulty and without even having to ask — it was automatically provided based on my vision needs. It seems that at this store the approach is to either make separate glasses for different vision needs or recommend progressive lenses that combine everything into one lens. Unfortunately, the progressive lenses did not work well for me. I was not looking for a complicated solution — I simply wanted a simple pair of eyeglasses like I have always received from every optometrist I have visited, with clear vision for both distance and near. I would also like to clarify a point from our conversation about Italy and the cost of glasses. When Italy was mentioned, the discussion was about private healthcare costs. While private services have different costs, Italy has an excellent FREE public healthcare system that provides access without requiring people to use private services. In addition, even private optical services in Italy are generally less expensive than in California. Next time, learn about the country before talking about it. A little real-world experience goes a long way, especially when California's system is definitely inferior. Regarding the wine comment, wine is drunk in Italy and the rest of Europe to complement dishes and is enjoyed with finesse. Nobody drinks wine daily; that may be common in California. That is one reason why Italy has a lower rate of alcohol abuse compared to America, where some people consume alcohol excessively. Education is important. I only mentioned it to clear things up. I don't even know why this topics came up.

Great experience with Dr Nguyen ! Professional and explained all of the imaging they did in an easy to understand way. Would recommend this office.
I visited on a busy Saturday for an eye exam, and despite the high volume of patients, the team was impressively organized, efficient, and provided excellent communication throughout the entire process. The doctor was not only approachable but had a way of explaining complex concepts in a way that was clear and easy to understand. Their selection of stylish frames was top-notch, making it easy to find options that suited my taste. I’m genuinely happy with the service I received and look forward to returning. The fact that they were so busy on a weekend is a testament to their reputation and quality of care!
Dr. Connie Husserl is outstanding—thorough, professional, and truly caring. She took the time to explain everything clearly, made me feel completely at ease, and followed up promptly. The office staff was also friendly and efficient, making the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Highly recommend!
The office staff seem to like working there which makes for a pleasant visit. When I had an eye irritation and needed a same day appointment, Dr Johnson made time for me in her schedule. She was very caring and I was happy to find this group.
