Letting this business know, that I am filing a report due to discrimination against patients with Medical Insurance. My mother was given this clinic's phone number because they are supposed to take medical however, when she called on August 1st, a male answered and after asking what her insurance was, he stated that their schedules were booked THROUGH SEPTEMBER. Not only did he state he could schedule that far away, he also told my mother to call every Monday to see if anyone cancelled.
She calls back on August 6th and this time, Christine answers. AGAIN, after asking what her insurance was, she began repeating the same things as if it were SCRIPTED.....
UNTIL ...my mother asked, "What if I pay with cash?" My mother's instincts were spot. She only spoke of paying with cash to test what the staff would say.... Smh
Then.... All of the sudden CHRISTINE finds an appointment for my mom, just two weeks away.
I am furious.... As a USMC Veteran who has chose to fight for my country and then turn around and have my mother discriminated against?
Understand this, my mother CANNOT SEEK SERVICES OUTSIDE OF THIS VSP NETWORK.
You all made a choice to become contracted within Network and now you are choosing to neglect those whom cannot meet your financial greed?????
..... I am also an employee of the same healthcare system, and I am disgusted with people like you guys who turn away human beings who need medical care.
A report will be filed and this type of behavior will not be tolerated.
I can't even imagine how many others you all have denied care. You should be ashamed
