My little ones was treated very nicely here and the wait wasn’t so long Overall would recommend. They even brought out different glasses for my little one to pick out different colors! The doctor was amazing and very friendly and precise and explained everything and answered all my questions
Had the best optical service in my life and I have been to several across the US! Dr. Alvarado pays attention to detail and has the patience to find the perfect fit and vision with contacts. The staff are extremely friendly and don't understand how anyone can give this business negative reviews! I highly recommend South Texas Optical!!
So I would normally give a 5 star review for this place but after trying to contact the manager there, when I recvd my contacts I assume that all of them will come in tact. When I got to my last pair of my 3 month supply my contact was damaged and when I tried to speak with them about this, they refused to replace this contact I paid for. It’s sad that they wouldn’t do that for someone who has always come to them for glasses and contacts. Especially since this was the way this contact came to me. How was I to know this pair of contacts would do this until I opened the pack of contacts. They said I would have to pay for full exam and then pay for contacts again. So much for caring about their patients. I don’t feel very valued at all right. It’s very sad experience.
My family has been going here for approximately 20 years. We have had exceptional service every time. Both eye doctors male and female. Family business. They have serviced us on and off medicaid, and their service has always been great. They have never treated us differently. And the glasses well it just depends how high traffic your kids are. My son went through a few and my daughter well..... she went through a few more. Very active children. But overall I think they are good glasses.
