While the people up front have been mostly nice, I’ve had multiple issues with them not telling me very important information. I went to Wisconsin Vision hoping to get a cheaper pair of glasses using my insurance, though I did not use them for my eye exam. Since they are out of network for my insurance, I thought I would save myself some cost by purchasing frames online for a very low price and then take them to Wisconsin Vision to have lenses put in. Before making that decision, I called ahead to make sure this is something they would do. They said they would, though I’d have to sign a waiver releasing them of responsibility for damage in transit, which is fine. What they didn’t tell me is that the glasses would then be considered “custom” and I would not be able to return them. They also did not explain to me when I was ordering my glasses that polycarbonate lenses (the cheapest possible option) can cause issues for people with strong prescriptions like mine. I’d never used lenses like that before, so I had no clue. Until I got my new glasses and had extreme discomfort from my eyes not adjusting to the lens material, on top of the frames being too big to fit my face. When I went back to WI Vision about this, they told me my prescription might be wrong and told me to go to my eye docs. So I drove to Campbellsport (Schlefer Optometrist) to see them, only for my eye doc to tell me I’m having a problem with the lens material. They were shocked that WI vision never told me about the potential issues of polycarbonate and that WI Vision never thought of it as being an issue when I complained about my discomfort. My hope was to return my glasses then, since they don’t even fit, which I then found out I couldn’t do. So now my options are cough up another $50 to get my lens material upgraded for a pair of glasses that don’t even fit my face, keep wearing glasses that cause constant eye strain and discomfort, or stop wearing them altogether and consider the money I paid as a sunk cost. If WI Vision had been transparent about their return policy and about the cheap lens material from the beginning, I would have done things very differently. It is not my responsibility to think of questions for every little thing that they might not be telling me! I’m extremely dissatisfied with this place and will not be returning again.

This is my first time shopping Wisconsin Vision and I am so satisfied. Carter worked with me and I didn't feel rushed and he was so good at helping me pick out what looks good on my face. This has always been my worse experience at other stores so to have someone help was wonderful. I can't wait to get my new glasses. I would recommend working with Carter at the Fond du lac store
