Book the earliest appointment possible. They get very busy and lobby gets really loud. But Dr. Silvestros is amazing. He explains everything in terms my daughter understands and shows her pictures of her eyes. One visit my daughter asked for an eye poster from his wall. We just followed up 6 months later he had one for her as he walked in to start our visit. Super chill doc. It's obvious he loves what he does.

We had a great experience at my son’s appointment. Everyone was very kind and patient, my 6 year old son felt comfortable and we were not rushed at all. Dr Johnson was great and reassured us everything was good. Thank you!

Dr. Barham is the best! We came for a second opinion after being misdiagnosed (a quite scary misdiagnosis I have to add). The experience was so different from PCH in the best way. She took so much time to sit with us, go over the result of all of her tests with us to reassure us that it was just a simple eye muscle issue. She was patient, reassuring, never rushed. Excellent bedside manner for nervous parents. We ended up eventually needing surgery, and it went perfectly. I am so thankful we found Dr. Barham!

Everyone is really nice, I will start with this, most of the people there are super kind, especially the nurses and our doctor. It is just annoying because your appointment time means nothing. Expect that they will be taking care of multiple other patients and leaving you to wait for 30 minutes at a time between each step of the appointment. Why not schedule your patients so that you can take care of them in a timely manner? Or at least give an estimate of how LONG the appointment will be. Never experienced this at any of the other specialists we have been to. Just want to warn anyone who has any type of exam with them, plan accordingly, especially if you are like us and have to drive an hour in rush traffic to get there or have a medically complex kiddo with multiple appointments a day.

If you schedule an appointment here be sure to plan your entire day around it and don’t expect them to be efficient. 1.5-2 hour wait to be seen seems to be completely normalized here but is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. The lobby was packed with people and most of them were there for the same amount of time as me. The appointment sign in times were at the same time or in 5 minute increments so this is definitely not an understaffing issue but seems to be poor operational management. I asked what the wait time was and there wasn’t a single apology or explanation because this is just how they do business. I have also had problems at the other ABC location with cancelled appointments with no contact until I showed up. This company needs to do better. *They responded that dilation takes longer but my son's eyes were not dilated during the appointment so why did it still take so long to be seen? At minimum, they should tell people when scheduling to expect to be at their office for 2 hours. It would reduce a lot of frustration due to unanticipated wait time, and allow parents to schedule their day appropriately.
