The ophthalmic technician, Alyssa was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and affirmative. Dr. Hayes is a great listener regarding my concern and provided additional testing to relieve that concern. I had a very positive and pleasant experience as a first time patient and will be returning.

I called the office and was worked in for a recent concern. I saw Dr. Hayes for the first time. Her care was professional and very thorough. She answered my questions well. The staff at the west office has always been friendly and professional. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Abrams for many years and will miss his care as he moves to retirement.
Dr. Abrams’s office staff is always very courteous and helpful. Dr. Mendoza is wonderful and the first time seeing his Assistant, Laurie. She was very kind and really did a wonderful job in relaxing me to get the eye drops in my eyes! Something that is never easy for me. It was an overall excellent experience from checking in to checking out.
Abrams stays in touch via email and makes sure to notify of up-coming appointments. I appreciate that! I went in on time and the tech did all she needed to do, but I ended up sitting in a back hall for 20 minutes before I asked someone else "when will it be my turn?" Seems like I was forgotten until then. The Dr. came in about 5 more minutes, did what she needed to do and provided my prescription.
I'vee been seen in this office for the past 2 years and while I assumed the issues I experienced the 1st time were just hiccups this year I'm fairly certain will be my last. I came in for my appointment and while waiting I received a call. I let the front desk associate know I needed to step out and take a call and I would be right back. I was not in the hall 5 mins and came back and let that same person know I was back and asked if I was called. She said she didn't know as if seeing me for the 1st time. I waited 45 mins and asked her if I was missed or if she was sure i hadn't been called. She spoke to someone and all the sudden I was rushed off and worked in for an appointment that I made. I let the tech know how frustrating it was and the fact she didn't take ownership annoyed me because no one seemed to value my time. I was told the office manager was away but she was be informed about what happened. After my appointment I selected frames, paid for them, and left. After a few weeks my frame came in. I came in the office and signed in at the kiosk and waited. After a few minutes I saw the office manger was free and approached her. I let her know i signed in but wasn't called. She told me of she did not see me sign in that she would not know to check the kiosk... I took my glasses and went on. When i got home i started to notice the prescription was effecting my depth perception. This happened last year so I called and left a msg for Dr Hayes but never got a call back. I brought my frames back and explained what I needed and I could tell Tiffany was a bit confused but she assured me she would talk with Dr Hayes and have the script fixed. I gave her my frames, my case, and my cloths that I was given. I was never called for any clarification so I assumed things were fine. I called a few weeks after not hearing back and my frame just so happen to have arrived that day. I sent my daughter to pick them up. When she got home she handed me my glasses in a plastic bag. She said she was told that remakes did not get cases. The case that belonged to me was kept because I had the frames remade... I was immediately irritated. I called and left a message. I tried the glasses on and the script was not mine or anything I ever had. I called and left another message. No call back.No matter when I called i could not get an answer. The following day I waited and never got a call back. I called again. Finally on June 19th I took the glasses back and ask for a full refund. I explained and was given no paper work or any acknowledgement of bad service or an apology. I was told I would be refunded after the business office was notified... it is now June 30th and I still have not been given my money back. I'm not shocked and I'm not happy. I will call tomorrow and hope someone answers but if not I will likely have to call my HSA and have to dispute the charges. I like Dr Hayes but this office could really careless about the patients and it's sad and frustrating. This offices positives are overshadowed by members of the staff that have no customer service skills or administrative procedures. It's disappointing because I've had a more efficient experience with America's Best... Update I've left 4 voicemail and never received a call back. My money has yet to be refunded and no one seems to have any sense of urgency.
