I reached out to this office in Aug of 2024, I was given an 'expedited appointment' at that time for Sept 8th. In a phone call prior to the physical appointment, it seems they came to realize that I wasn't going to be a good candidate for getting "up-charged" by adding extra amounts and fees to my cost of the exam, and glasses. I guess they didn't like my coverage, and what it entitled me to without me having to go out of pocket. So I was then told my appointment was cancelled, after having waited a month for it. But, upon asking for it, I was also told that if I would produce a copy of my 'previous eye prescription' they would re-schedule me, and I would get the exam, with no extra charges, but maybe the pair of glasses I was entitled to, and maybe not on the glasses. I made sure that the nice lady promised me that if I produced the information, I would get an immediate appointment, since I was having a very difficult time seeing properly and was several years overdue for an exam. After many many hours of searching, I was able to locate the previous prescription in a clear perfect image, and I sent it to them, reminding her in the email reply that she said she would get me in right away. Instead of getting responded to and getting in right away, I was ignore, I waited a few weeks and wrote again, no response. I called and left a voice mail, I heard back nothing, emailed again, no answer again. This went on with them neglecting and ignoring me and my needs until December, when I booked an appointment with a new provider who I am finally seeing tomorrow, December 23rd. More than four months after first reaching out to this office. Over that time, I was functioning with very compromised vision, and as a result suffered various minor injuries. I am lucky I didn't have a more serious accident in these months, but I did end up fracturing two toes on my left foot, and kept re-injuring it several times, because I am having so much problems seeing clearly. I blame this establishment and their disregard for a patient who made it abundantly clear that I was having trouble seeing with my current glasses for all these injuries. This establishment, in my view, seems to have abandoned any mandate they may or may not have once had of helping people with their eyes and vision, and is only interested in making as much money as possible on every person who they allow in the door, regardless of what their coverage entitles them to, - or their age, (I am a senior citizen,) or their ability to pay exorbitant extra hidden fees. If I had more time on my hands, I would take this a step further, do the research, figure out who they should be reported to, for a violation or a loss of operating license, and push the issue further. This is not a misunderstanding or miscommunication. I made sure to give them enough chances to answer me, asking them and reminding them nicely, - to disqualify any claims of not seeing my messages. So while I am walking vigorously and religiously for my health, and it has been working out very nicely, I have the extreme discomfort of two broken toes because Accurate Eye Care abandoned me as a patient, despite me telling them I badly needed an exam and new prescription.
