I visited Accuvision for a routine eye exam, and I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and welcoming the entire experience was. When I arrived, the waiting area was calm with only one other person there, which is rare for this typically busy office. The young lady at the front desk checked me in quickly, and the atmosphere felt friendly right from the start. I was even more impressed when I realized the staff member chatting pleasantly with another patient was actually the doctor. She was extremely thorough, explained my exam results in a way that was easy to understand, and even shared a bit of her background in the industry. Her style is modern and approachable, and she carries herself in a way that makes you feel comfortable rather than intimidated, which is something I truly appreciated. Overall, my visit was excellent. The only thing I wish had been different is that my PD number wasn’t included with my prescription. Since patients pay for the exam regardless of where they choose to purchase glasses, it would feel fair to have full access to that information. Aside from that, I left very satisfied and would definitely recommend this location to others.

(Carolina Mall, Concord location) I absolutely LOVE Dr. Graybeal!!! In my experience, customer service needs A LOT of help, very unprofessional. The first time I was there for an appointment, the one young lady, at reception, was not shy about her part of a conversation with her co worker, in talking about her frustration with her job, how busy the office was, and how she's not paid enough to handle everything she was doing. At this appointment, I was also fitted for contact lenses and was told I would be called when my trial pair had arrived, and a fitting appt would be made during that call. After approximately 10 days, I called and left a voice mail requesting a call back regarding the trial contacts. I never received a call back. The 2nd time I was there, I did not have an appointment, because I never received a call to tell me my order had arrived. The other "more professional" receptionist, told me she called and spoke with me. Ummm, no... You didn't. She apologized and showed me into the room, and I left after a brief discussion with the Dr about the trial lenses. She told me to call back in 2-4 days if there were any issues and they would reschedule for a new fitting with another size. I called about 3 days later, and again, got the voice mail. So I left another message indicating my name and number (once at beginning and a 2nd time at the end of the message, as is my normal) and explained my issue. Again, I never received a call back . Approximately 7-10 days after leaving my 2nd voice mail, I had to drive there again, without an appointment. The same young lady, muttered quite loudly that she didn't have time for "this" (me). At this visit, Lens Crafters (which is physically "attached" to Accuvision) Asst Manager Kayla, was helping at the desk, and she was AMAZING after I expressed my frustration. She followed up with me 2x by phone, once calling to let me know my order (from Accuvision) had been placed, and the next time when Accuvision received my order. Accuvision really needs to address this problem. If there was a way to give 5 stars to Dr. Graybeal and Kayla (From Lens Crafters) who was assisting Accuvision during a busy time, I would have done so.

Since my first review was erased, I will leave another because of the text that was sent to me about missing my appointment. On 5/4/26 at approximately 9:40 a.m. I walked in the business and said, “ Good morning” to both staff members sitting at the front desk. One was an African American woman and the other I have no idea of her ethnic background. Neither greeted me. I said, “Good morning” again. The woman sitting by the black woman said she will help you as the black woman reached her arm out with a clip board. No one greeted me so I took my business elsewhere. As I said before, DEI is definitely here but there is no customer service skills present. Do better and learn how to greet your customers. Get rid of the attitude be thankful you are working.

Great experience, Dr Graybill was very professional as well as efficient, I throughly enjoyed meeting her as well as the rest of the staff. The Lens Crafters staff was also great expecially Dianne Joseph the manager. I would highly recommend them for your eye care

I would have given a higher score except for the unsatisfactory vision exam given by Dr Graybeal. This is the testing that determined the prescription of my glasses. She hurried through the testing so fast that I couldn't keep up with what I was viewing. I'm a pretty easy going guy, but I became so exasperated I had to snap at her "could you please slow down!!" So I'm not confident my prescription is the best one possible.
