Too much to say but I'll start with this.....It is the worst facility. Every appointment there is an hour wait, at minimal. During one visit, my father shows up for his appointment and informed the San Pedro office is closed and provider no longer able to see him. His appointments are all rescheduled to the Torrance office. The customer service is terrible. You have elderly visually compromised patients that are being asked to fill forms with no assistance. Language barrier, no help either. Maybe take the time to use an interpreter service. By law it should be offered to patients. Maybe something should be done prior to the visit ? Tell patients when reminding them of their appointments a form will need to be filled out in person or online like most places do these days. Most of the patients have trouble with their vision. You are an ophthalmology facility. Terrible, terrible, terrible . Overheard staff saying they can wait! Referring to patients checking in. Lunches being delayed. Staff not happy and verbal about it. You ask for help and directed to someone else. No one takes the time to care. It's like a processing plant, next! Standing room only Do not recommend this office. Worse than a 3rd country facility by far!!!! ****update**** 6/22/2026 Appt was made with Dr. Javidi for retinal tx during that horrendous visit. I called at 1300 on 6/22 to confirm the appt and was informed by the call center there was no appointment showing for that day! I am so glad I didn’t waste my time driving out there but my day was re arranged for this “appointment “. Tried to speak to someone at the Torrance office and every time was sent back to the call center. I was then informed after the third attempt an email would be sent to the Torrance office regarding the appt. I have yet to hear from anyone. So disappointing and frustrating to say the least.

I have heard bad things about this place, but I had a great experience. Although it was crowded, I was in and out fairly quickly. The staff was super friendly, and everyone that prepared my tests were great. I really really was pleased with Doctor Saeed Javidi Who was able to accommodate me quickly due to an emergency. He was able to put my mind at rest and let me know that I did not have a retina tear! Overall, I would give it a 10 out of 10 I was in and out within 25 minutes!
This office along with the sister offices are horrible, horrible, horrible offices. If you make an appointment with 1 of the specialists, them appointments are every 10 minutes. You start off in the main waiting area, then they call your name & do preliminary tests & take you to another waiting room. All in all your appointment will take between 2-3 hours. You see the Dr maybe 15-20 minutes & out you go. I've complained to the insurance company multiple times but, they also don't seem to care.
Disappointing Communication My mother scheduled her cataract surgery with Acuity Eye Group eight months ago. Yesterday, I took the day off work and drove her an hour to the appointment in Santa Ana. We were just five minutes away when we received a call saying the appointment needed to be “rescheduled”—with no explanation. I completely understand that emergencies and unexpected circumstances happen. My frustration is with the last-minute communication and lack of explanation. If there was a legitimate reason for canceling, simply sharing that with the patient would have made a big difference. After waiting eight months, and with a family member taking time off work and driving an hour to get her there, five minutes’ notice felt incredibly inconsiderate. The issue isn’t that circumstances can change—it’s how those changes are communicated and the consideration given to the patient’s time.
Although the office was very busy, I didn't have to wait long to be seen. The doctor I spoke with was very helpful in explaining my options. Overall a very positive experience
