I am very pleased and satisfied with the service I received from Dr. Eric Hwang and his staff at Acurity Eye Group. Dr. Hwang explained my eye situation very thoroughly, especially since both of my eyes are very different and more complicated. My left eye cataract surgery was very successful, and I am extremely happy with the outcome. I truly appreciate his professionalism, care, and attention to detail. His staff was also very kind, friendly, courteous, and professional. Thank you for having such a wonderful doctor and team. I’m looking forward to having my right eye surgery done by Dr. Hwang as well.

Decent place, staff seemed annoyed or unhappy with their job n it showed in the level of care i received. im not looking for a 5 star resort but a Hi, how can i help you today goes along way. I felt like I wasn't welcomed because I wasn't profitable client. I've been to many specialist all over Orange County CA, 11 of them so far and this was the most lack luster of care thus far. Even the run down clinics treated me with more care or respect. I had no options here even tho the Fullerton location specifically told me that the Tustin facility is a university center with much more experience in my diease. was seen for 5 minutes with no solutions to help with my conditions. Was just sent to a different doctor which I am sure is the same one I have seen in the past. If you have money, this maybe a decent place. If you don't then try i suggest going some other place. Good luck! fyi most likely they'll respond with Generic automated response that won't go beyond that.
I have been a patient of Acuity Eye Group for several years. Recently, Dr. Bandak recommended cataract surgery for both of my eyes. A surgery coordinator called me twice, but unfortunately I was unable to answer either call. I returned her calls and left voicemail messages, but none of my calls were returned. In addition, her voicemail box was often full. I also left several messages with the office, yet no one ever contacted me. After two weeks of numerous phone calls and messages with no response, I finally spoke with the office manager, Melissa. She was very helpful, apologized for the situation, and offered to resolve the issue and schedule my surgery. However, after spending so much time trying to reach someone and receiving no follow-up, I no longer felt confident in the office's level of service. I declined her offer and requested that my surgery be canceled. I will be seeking treatment from another provider with more competent and responsive office staff.
I had a 10:30 a.m. appointment, but after waiting for over an hour, the staff still could not tell me how much longer the wait would be. When I asked for an update, the receptionist simply told me to "read the sign," which stated that wait times could be long. If lengthy delays are common, I believe that should be disclosed when patients schedule their appointments so they can plan accordingly. The waiting room was extremely overcrowded. It felt more like a cattle call than a medical office. There wasn't a single seat available, and there had to be at least 30 people waiting to be seen. I understand that unexpected delays can happen, but a scheduled appointment should have some value. Better communication and more realistic scheduling would greatly improve the patient experience.
I received a call back from Katie at the Santa ana office. She was great help fitting me in same day with my urgent autho. Then my visit went fast and smooth. From one room to the next. The staff was on point they made me feel comfortable. Next when the Dr.came in he got straight to the point and did my injections. I was shocked because I didn't even know he had done it cause that's how smooth his hand was. Definitely recommending ñ ggthis office to any one in search of a retnia specialist. I give them all a 10+. See you all soon.
