Listen as a customer, I should not be told by your manager that they’re making exception to assist you even though her employees are gonna go on either overtime or meal penalties. Respectfully, it is not my problem that you guys don’t have coverage I think communication is key. I had an appointment at 2 o’clock. It took over an hour and a half to be seen even then I wasn’t told that this was gonna be a telehealth visit so you’re talking to a doctor via screen, I believe that you should be told that why isn’t your call center communicating this I needed a prescription for reading glasses that specific office closes at 4:30 as long as your name is on a list they will assist you. Apparently that’s not the case. The young lady told me that I had basically waited for her not to help me. I had an attitude. The whole time will not be returning just to pick up my glasses however you guys really need to do better. I also when I was waiting to see the doctor and then upon waiting to see the doctor they basically have a nurse in with you in the room and my nurse kept leaving and going, and the manager told me that that was her fault but it’s like he’s with a patient. Is there no common sense anymore?

This place always has a soiled smell that you eventually get "use" to. The bathroom was clean but had no soap. The wait is long but once you get with a Dr its not so bad. And the staff seems friendly. I dont like that they can tell you at your appt that you need glasses but then they can schedule you to test/get prescribed glasses until almost 2mo out. How is this okay? Too many patients and not enough drs.
The receptionist are very unprofessional. They always ignore the patients when they are checking in and have attitude. I stand in front of the window to check in for a long time while the receptionist are gossiping with each other about personal stuff. Please do better . There are a lot of elderly people who need assistance and a simple greeting and some acknowledgement go a long way.
Military Dependents… despite this clinic showing up on the Tricare site as in-network, they’re unable to see you unless you have secondary Vision insurance (ie. VSP, Eyemed, etc.). Don’t waste your time making that phone call like I did. Their front desk staff aren’t too familiar with military insurances. When I called, they seemed confused. Rather than state that they only see retirees or only accept vision insurance plans, they kept asking me about my vision plan (that I don’t have because I’m AD booking for my dependent 😵💫) I ended up going with a different optometry office that was more well versed with military insurances and that actually was able to accept Tricare. This clinic should work with TriCare to update their in-network status.
Security Eye Center is very good. They’re very clean very efficient always on the go. Dr. Ward is excellent at his job. I really like the way he does it only problem is usually it’s so busy that I’m there for two or three hours this last time I went in at 1 o’clock I think I was in there less than 45 minutes so with that they’re doing a great job.
