I had been going here since 2018. The fact that this is where I find myself now is kind of crazy. Took my teenager here back in Feb to have an eye exam and address some eye pain he was having. The medical assistant who was treating him (and I didn't know this until weeks later when he told me or it would have been an issue in office) took it upon herself to make little remarks about him being trans. Whispering in his ear how hes a good girl. This kid is 16. Even if he wasn't trans, that would never be an okay way to treat a client. The pain was never addressed. Now here we are, 5 months later and he has new eye pain that is getting worse. I bit my tongue and figured I would call to make an appointment at a different acuity location. That was my mistake. I spent 20 minutes talking to someone who I would tell him one thing and he'd be like but the computer says this (which is what i just told him) and he would back track, change what he told me. Then it was well your insurance doesn't work with us. That is also BS. I go every 6 months. My insurance works fine with them. I asked for a supervisor. I brought up the previous visit and the way we were treated. That was ignored. She parroted the same things that the previous guy said that made no sense. I ended up telling her to forget it, that I would also be calling and cancelling my follow up coming in August because this is 100% not a place I would go back to. You do not treat people like that. And don't put on your website that you are LGBT inclusive when... obviously you aren't. This whole experience has been awful. And after reading reviews from the past year.. I don't know what happened but this is not somewhere you should go. Can't guarantee any of their other locations will be any better considering how they handle trying to make an appointment.

Absolute insanity. To reach this office it takes you to a call center. Call center "transfers" you to the office. You're on hold forever. The office eventually rings, no one picks up, and you're told to leave a message in the mailbox and they'll get back to you. The mailbox is full. You get hung up on. You can't even REACH this office. I had to drive there just to talk to someone. Been trying to get a prescription from them for 8 days. My prescription was given to Walgreens Specialty. Except I learn Walgreens Specialty can't fulfill it, so after 2+ hours of 4 transfer calls with manufacturer, insurance, whoever the hell, I'm told to transfer the prescription to CVS Specialty. They do, and then they can't fill it either. I go on chat with CVS to learn it's been denied by health insurance. NO ONE WAS GOING TO TELL ME THIS? You would think my DOCTOR, or someone at Acuity Eye Group, the call center, someone at CVS, at Walgreens, at the health insurance offices, at the manufacturer's offices, would know what the hell is going on, and would reach out to me at some point to tell ME, the patient, what's going on. But it's impossible to reach almost anyone, anywhere, no matter what leg of the process they're in. This is an indictment of the complete breakdown of our healthcare system in this country. All I can do is try to cancel my health insurance (if I can) so I don't keep getting charged exorbitant amounts every month for LITERALLY NOTHING. Oh, and this place is useless. When you can't get a prescription from them and can't reach them, what's the point of this place existing other than to fleece patients? EDIT 6/16: Got my prescription finally figured out with CVS Specialty. After an hour-long phone call got the co-pay reduced from $1077 (with insurance) to $0. Told it would be delivered 6/18. Get a call on 6/16 saying the order was CANCELLED because my doctor unfathomably moved the prescription over to Walgreens Specialty (who couldn't fill the order in the first place). Call Walgreens Specialty, and lo and behold, there's no prescription on file. This office should be sued for malpractice.
Spent an hour at this clinic only to have dr Hsu spend 5-10 minutes with me and ignore my questions so he could finish writing my chart and rush off. This place is a zoo - 20 people in the waiting room with multiple people booked in the same time slot for the same doctor. Also they don't verify your insurance until you get there - so I waited 30 mins for them to run my insurance when I arrived (even though I gave it to them over the phone weeks ago). They said that is their process. They also were not able to do a full evaluation for autoimmune eye issues even though they had said over the phone that they did. Huge waste of time.
Dr. Hudson saved my eye in 2022. I had a giant retina tear after bungee cord snapped and hit me in the eye. He was super professional and did emergency laser surgery 20 min after I showed up at this clinic. Thank you to all who fast-tracked me there.
Great customer service from start to finish! The receptionists in the front are very nice and helpful. And the technician who helped me was nice and efficient. i would recommend this office to family and friends!
