Everyone is very nice and they treat you well. I can’t complain there. I hate leaving a bad review because everyone was so great. My issues is with dishonesty. I was mislead when it came to buying contacts. They claimed I would get a $300 rebate so they priced the contacts against other companies including the rebate. As it turns out, it isn’t a rebate. It is actually a prepaid master card for $200 that you have to send a letter to try and receive. So when I was given prices they said they were cheaper than 1-800-contacts by $50 but they were really $250 overpriced. So I’m out $100 from what they promised me and $50 if I had just bought the contacts elsewhere.

Everyone was really helpful getting my aunt in on her initial appointment after moving to Georgetown. Getting her in and out of the exam chair was a challenge and they were great at helping her pick out frames. The extra was the detail they went through on her insurance to get it right and minimize her bill.

The staff are so friendly! My initial visit with Advanced Eye Care Center went FANTABULOUS!!!!! Insurance saved me a lot of money while acquiring top-notch frame & progressive lens adding transitions. Overall the process was smooth from beginning to end:)

I decided to wait until I knew I was calm to write this Because I have never walked into a doctors office where I have been treated so badly by the front as well as the person doing the test. Now I understand when there are tests that need to be done, but when a patient tells you that they’re almost positive that they’ve already had that test and it was done recently to be told and I quote well we don’t have those results so you’re gonna have to get it done. I said absolutely I can pull it up. I was then told to show the doctor. Now, before I saw the doctor, I was taken back to have my eye exam. Then I was questioned in a very condescending Tone and I quote why haven’t you signed this paper for this test??! I explained that I had told the woman in the front that I had more or less had this test done and that I was told to show it to the doctor now I’m not sure exactly why she copped an attitude with me and told me, again I quote if you don’t do the test, I will be dilating you. Now this test that they wanted me to do was an additional $40 for me to have done so of course I am going to question it because I’ve already paid for this test. Not to mention the very threatening way, she told me that she would be dialing first of all how are you going to dilate me when I drove and I was alone? I kept my cool. I told her to do what she had to do. I would just deal with the doctor.. Now, when the doctor came in, I explained to her what the employees had done and said to me, I showed her the test she confirmed that it had already been done. I didn’t get an apology for the way that I was treated, I didn’t say anything because what’s the point I’m not somebody who likes to make a big scene, but I am somebody who likes to be treated with respect and that’s not something I received. Now the young woman who checked me out when I was leaving, I didn’t catch your name very pleasant shoulder length hair blonde. The doctor came out and told her that I had the test already done somewhere else being diabetic my endocrinologist does this every year. She finished me up took care of me asked me if I wanted to look at some glasses. Now, if I would’ve been treated better, I would have looked at glasses, but I wasn’t gonna waste any of my money in an establishment that had a little to no respect for me as a patient and who felt that they could speak to me the way And then not even acknowledge the fact that I was right. Anyway, I will never go back to this place and if anybody asks me, I will tell them the same. There’s other places that are better.

My vision has been bad my entire life. More recently within the past 2 years I had gotten some a new prescription elsewhere. Ever since I’ve had so much trouble seeing and doing the things I enjoy. Things have been blurry and not enjoyable anymore. After working with Dr. Rich she fixed my prescription and had me back actually seeing. She’s an incredibly intelligent Dr. Ig you have problems, she will get to the bottom of it and help you. I’m very pleased with Advanced eye care. Thank you!
