My mom was in the process of getting cataract surgery and she was assigned to Dr Corin. From our first meeting I didn’t like him. He seemed more interested in his beautiful young assistants than patients. My mom had a stroke before she could get her surgery so we had to wait an extra six months before the cataract surgery could be conpleted. She even paid the extra $3,000 for the astigmatism lenses at his behest. At her check up appointments he was quick and rude telling my mom she could see, that it was just her mind telling her she couldnt see and that she would be able to soon if she just believed. He said it was just a mental block because she’d been near blind for so long. Awful bedside manner to patients. She is now considered legally blind. Personally would not recommend but I guess it’s hit and miss cause she had friends with good experiences. Guess it depends on the day.

Dr Botelho is just wonderful. All the staff has been also wonderful and positive (except for one person, a male that was part of the “OR” team….i don’t remember his role, nor name. My Dad has moderately severe Alzheimer’s disease. He was patient and respectful to my Dad. My Dad needed cataract surgery. I was skeptical that it could even be done with consciousness sedation. He is very precise, quick. The cataract surgery recovery was fine and had no issues. He even sent my Dad to a retina specialist (within same practice) to confirm that there was no other issues. He treated my Dad the same as any other patient even though my father was a lot more difficult to examine. Anyone dealing with Alzheimer’s—-get the cataracts done early or else you will get to a stage that they will need to be asleep using conscious sedation because they get too restless/agitated. I highly recommend Dr Botelho and this office. I’m thinking of switching to this office myself.

Good to know Fern from the shop treats Veterans like you know what. Super Unprofessional , I was horrified.Thank you for yelling at me a veteran, about something you did!, because you're the one behind the keyboard , not me. That was the second interaction, the first interaction with Fern, I walked into the shop and waited patiently. She looked at me, then an elderly couple walked into the shop. She looks at them when she was done with the customers she had in front of her, she called the Elderly couple over, and just looked at me , like she don't care. Now , obviously I don't mind letting people go ahead of me, But this felt intentional. (Random fact: jealousy, racism, prejudice, and even agests, are real things we all have to deal with!) I am so done with this place! I'm totally searching for a new place! Thank you, Advance Eye Centers for making me feel like shiz. I will never be back here again and now I can breathe better.

Went in on a referral for a small cyst on my eyelid, the staff were friendly, the service was quick and I have no complaints! I saw Dr Corin for the removal and he made it painless and quick, and was kind and personable. Thank you AEC team!

I love this place! I switched from another optometrist who wouldn't listen to me, but I came here to get minor eye lid surgery, there was a tiny cut involved, whatever, I digress. I loved the Dr! He was making jokes, busy in between rooms, and I found him refreshingly eccentric and outspoken. That sort of thing takes my mind off trying not to blink as he's snipping things.
